I think people here are helping each other ... if someone is willing to pay more, let him say. let us support each other not to pay extra money
and your price is wery high
http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/violentsnake

VERY HIGH PRICES
You can write in detail what you sell on the normal price?
Ok, so I'm willing to bid $801 on that mgs4 invitation package and $751 on the white sorter. Will you back off those items since I'll sell them higher?
If we really start doing that this place will turn into an "auction" and people will just end up stabbing each other in the back. Now someone here can announce they'll bid higher than me and I'm supposed to back off?!
I leave all my bidding completely secret/private. I don't ask anyone to "back off" on anything and at the same time if someone announces what they bid on or how much they want something, I honestly don't care if I want it to. "Congrats on the win!" to anyone that outbids me (NO hard feelings), and "Hey man, you should've bid more then" to anyone I outbid (sorry TSi heh). I don't care who I see with the top bid and I hope people do the same if I'm the top bidder, although I *always* snipe.
As far as my auctions, go ahead, find that jacket or vest cheaper. There's a thread about my auctions somewhere on this forum, so I'm not going to explain it in this thread too btw.

I have the first set and Regain bottles, there is a dogtag in the set. That one looks like a dog tag as well.

like what VS said is right... I dont know if saying out the amount of bid is intended as a good thing or not... but its kinda disturbing. like i mean... what are the rest of the people suppose to do? sit and watch?
like i dont that part where people have to say out the amount... are the rest of us suppose to back off so that w/e can get the item at that price? or are we suppose to bid until that price is met? or is saying 100000$ on one item so that the rest of us can be scared and not bid against the person who declared the amount?
and for vs' auction, he already explained it a few times, so im sure most of us know the reason for that. (and plus, for the rarity of some items, maybe it is worth that much to another collector)
note to vs: no offense taken =P, like i said before, ur my biggest influence for mgs collecting, so if you get something that helps complete your collection and you bid over me and win, id be happy for you.

Yeah that's the thing. Once an auction is posted he claims this big bid and we're all suppose to say "oh well, too bad, maybe next time" and just forget about it?
With his crazy high bids, he knows he's going to win, he just wants us all to not to bid because we'll just end up making him pay more. There's nothing wrong with trying to get something for as little as possible, I do think there's something wrong when someone does it and makes it seem that "it's something to help everyone out". No it's not, you'll win the item with your crazy high bid either way and you don't want us bumping up the price.
I wouldn't mind as much if you said "Look I'm gonna bid $1000 so you guys are just wasting making me pay more by bidding on it" than they way you make it out to seem like "I'm gonna bid $1000 on this but if anyone would pay more don't worry I won't bid".
You can have all the money in the world, but you're not going to fool me.
Sorry for being so confrontational, I just hope nobody else is buying this and I hope nobody "backs off" of something they want because someone calls dibs on it. The minute this forum turns into a place where we're all trying to decide who gets what and at what price is the minute this forum implodes.

i think it can be taken either way, as i said. sure, it would be nice to know in advance who is really serious (i guess monetary value) about an item, to avoid pricejacking. in the end you are correct, whomever wanted to bid the most will get it. stating how much isn't really necessary to do publically, however i have come to some private resolutions on items in the past where i have taken 1 or 2 things from a lot and the other person was interested in some others, etc. so in that respect, it's useful at times.
i can appreciate the enthusiasm that is shown when it's stated the way it is, but it also gets to be repetitive.
either way i'm still one to say i have an interest in an auction and i will be bidding on it. i don't see anything wrong with that, and if anyone takes offense to knowing i'll be bidding, i don't know what else to say :p

I thinks that's what's caused me to bring it up. I don't want to see every time something gets listed:
i buy $xxxxx
I guess when I see something I automatically assume everyone is interested in it heh.

I tried to propose a system that does not spend more, and did not compete. I propose to find a profitable system, without hostility, by peaceful means

you really going to put 801 to sell it? I am not, for example, the seller and not man, I want to buy the collection, rather than for business.

If you are referring to this...
http://cgi.ebay.com/Metal-Gear-Saga-Vol ... dZViewItem
be careful... The Saga 1 is used. Only Saga 2 is the one that's sealed... Read carefully the item description... That item number you just posted is for another game that you've won...

i think he mistyped 'sell' instead of 'buy', but
i'm telling you, i'll be bidding on that lot.
vs isn't really out to sell things he buys (at least not yet, since obviously at some point we're going to sell what we have, either cause we're exiting the hobby or we're making room for something else, etc) there are however people, even in this forum *gasp* that have bought things to sell. most likely it's to buy things to sell so they can buy something else for their collection, but how much different is that then just buying to sell anyway?
i also have a tendency to only bid in the last 1 hour to sniping mode, sometimes tho i'll bid on something and just see what happens with it, usually however if i really am interested in an item i will actively bid in the last moments.

stop whining about what illusion does. He can say whatever he want, right? He is just honest. However it could maybe be the wrong thread to post something if he still is going to buy it. This thread is for sharing auction-finds. right? ^^

i dont mind him saying hes bidding, im just responding to him indicating i will too
i don't rely on other people telling me whats out there, and i dont think any other active collector would be either, so this is mainly just a discussion thread about auctions and whats out there.
i think illusion's purpose is valid, and i hope that someone from the forums does get this provided they are interested in the item.
