No, it was a legitimate point. Thanks for bringing it up. We've updated the readme to make it more clear.

Is anyone else having trouble running it on the PSP? No matter what version of POPS I try to run, it gives me an error. I distinctly remember running the untranslated version on here before, so I'm wondering if there's an issue with the current firmware?

Wow, I just recieved a mail, cause someone posted in this thread and now this!
Thank you all very very much for your work and dedication!
Unbelieveable that the patch is only 8 MB big (or small)..
I hope you are happy with your work, and maybe we get to see you getting some major attention / Prime time interviews or something like that!!

@ snatchernaut

yes i did, everything is in the same folder, isos are named correctly, everything. It gives me that error when ever it applies the patch. The ISO files sizes increase, so the patch is being applied. But it doesnt work, and when I try to run it in the epsxe emulator, its just a blank screen. I have it set up right because the original iso works fine.

Anyone know what the cause maybe?

it does take a while for the patch to apply then you have to wait and press enter when it says so.
not sure then.

It runs perfectly on pops version 3.71 for me (so far). Maybe your popsloader files have become corrupt (happened to me once)? In such a case you'll just have to install the plugin and the necessary files again. Also make sure you're using the latest version of the popsloader plugin for CFW 5.00 M33.

Have you tried running the game without popsloader perchance? I think it ought to work that way too. Don't try to use a multidisc Eboot of the game; it's more trouble than it's worth.

...

A humongous thank you to the translation team for pulling through with this amazing feat. Truly this is the one fan translation to rule the other fan translations! You guys are the best, and it's been an absolute blast following this mighty endeavour come together over time and reach its conclusion. :)

I'm gonna go ahead and guess that a lot of people having trouble installing the patch haven't bothered to read the included readme.

I got the same problem (checksum mismatch), maybe is it a problem with the .iso files ?

Yes, in the same directory as the patch and the .isos.

just double checking you all made your isos correctly.
i had no problem at all and have been playing since the patch came online.

you need to load isobuster place in the game cd and right click on it in isobuster and create image as a RAW iso/bin.

thats will give you a cue and another file.
rename the other file to policenauts1.iso or policenauts2.iso depending on which cd your making.

then place these in a folder with all the files from the patch.
download that xdelta3.0u.x86-32.exe and place that in the folder.
double click xdelta3.0u.x86-32.exe and it will open and close really quick.
then open the patch.bat and follow instructions.
it will take a while and should patch fine.

To all the guys with checksum problems:

How did you rip your iso? Did you use isobuster or as instructed in the readme?

Thanks a ton, Driller, I was being picky and doing the multidisc eboot. Now that I've done it separately, it's working great!

Holy balls, guys, I'm playing Policenauts, and I actually know what's going on!

Or did you guys... ahem, obtain your ISOs some other way? Because that can cause the problem you're having.
