I doubt it very much. If Kojima's designing this with the PSP in mind, I'm sure he'll want it to remain exclusive to that system. The thing I see being more likely is that most fans will not want to put the cash down on a PSP for this one game, so they'll emulate it instead.

Is PSP emulation even worth using, yet?

I'm just not sure if I'm willing to buy a PSP for one game alone. Call me hopeful, but I think given enough time MPO might find its way to a home console.

Unless they release a UMD player for the PS3, I'd be shocked to see it on a home console anytime soon. It's about as likely as them porting the AC!D games.

I don't know-- MPO sounds like it has much broader appeal than the Ac!d games, which I've never desired to play nor known anyone who had any such desire. MPO, if all turns well, will be an actual, if limited, MGS game.

I don't know. If it's good enough for a GTA PSP title, who says it can't be good enough, in the eventual future, for an MGS game? Remember, Sony might still want to milk every cent they can out of the PS2 even into the beginning of the PS3's lifespan.

In the end, though, it's not Sony's decision. Even if it was, enough people have PS2s, already. They want to promote the PSP's sales as much as possible, and MPO will likely be one of its biggest sellers. If it was multi-format, then it wouldn't promote the PSP quite as much.

Am I the only one who noticed this small retcon in MPO ?
At the end of the trailer, FOXHOUND members are seen wearing uniforms with the latest FOXHOUND patch. But that logo was only adopted after Campbell left the unit, in 2000. Normally, the uniforms should sport the old, cartoon fox one.
Maybe the director thought it was silly and went with the better known one...
But anyway that creates a plot hole, since Meryl has got a paint tattoo of the older logo, when guys like [Snake] and [her] uncle were in it.

Yeah, since they kept the old Tattoo on Meryl's arm in Twin Snakes and Substance, I don't think they should put the new logo in for MPO.

Well in most games you can just go into the menu and choose the "save game" option.

Either you missed the point completely or now are agreeing to what I said about 2 months ago...

I wouldn't say that. It's quite rare to find a game that will let you save anywhere. Most games that aren't broken up into levels will simply place "Save Points" around maps (Metroid, ICO, old Resident Evil games, etc.). Some games with long levels will have these Save Points alongside regular end-of-level save points (killer7, Tomb Raider, Resident Evil 4). The end-of-level save function is the most common one, in my opinion. I can only think of maybe a couple of games that will let you save anywhere, off the top of my head.

I remember playing the original Half Life all those years ago with the "quick save twitch". I really can't decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
