It arrived today. Looks wonderful. Really happy with it. Weirdly, the case is a double CD instead of triple CD, so Existence is protected by a piece of foam. :???: If I can get the scanner working again, I'll provide scans, soon.

You got a manual with it?

Just a small sheet with the controls for Snake Eater on one side and MGO on the other. It's in the same style as the officially released manual.

It dosen´t tell the number you need for Metal Gear 2 right?

Of course not. They didn't include the tap code chart in the official release, so why would they cram in a codec number to a two-side sheet of instructions?

EDIT- While we're on the subject of scanning, I managed to pick up two UK magazines with features on more obscure Kojima games. Retro Gamer has a double page spread on Snatcher (although most of that is a screenshot), and Playnation has a large guide on the Subsistence version of MetalGear. They're both on my to-do list.

I didn't use it (I have a sheet with the tranceiver numbers in my Dreamcast version), but I did see that there was only one number, which means you don't get either Holly or Campbell's second numbers.

They´ll tell you their second numbers themselfs

Well, I can't remember if it's their second numbers, but I can remember that both of them ask you to refer to packaging to get their new tranciever numbers at one point (and I'm definately thinking of the PS2 port).

There was a nice pacl of an MSX emulator with MG, it even had covers for printing it.

I made my own cover with the Shinkawa art, though. The file includes Parodius, too, which was nice.

Yeah, it was made be a company called Bleem! A company that made PS1 emulators for the Dreamcast, and released a couple of games including: Gran Turismo 2 and Metal Gear Solid. The bleem! games was played with high-res, it looked pretty on GT2, but not so great on MGS (well at least not eveything looked bad. Bleem! chould´t handle the lawsuits Sony made, so Bleem! stopped thier emulating stuff and evey copy was pulled off the market (except for those who brought it, of course). You might still find some Bleem! games if you look on Ebay.

I'm talking about MetalGear 2: Solid Snake (and MetalGear, actually), not MetalGear Solid.

EDIT- I took some quick (bad quality) photos of the promo with my phone. I'll see if I can do anything with the scanner, later.

No.
There's a MSX emulator available for the Dreamcast. You have to download it and burn it to disc yourself though, as it's not commercially available. The file includes MG1, MG2 and a couple Parodius games, if I remember correctly.

Chould´t you get it from Dreamcast, i rememberd hearing that the DC chould go into the internet and show the pages as we can see on our PSP and computer today.

indeed the Dreamcast had a browser and Internet access (The saturn did also), but that has nothing to do with the emulator. You could only download executabels for the VMU and save games, not executables for the DC itself. of course you could download them, just as any piece of data, but that would have been useless. hence, i don't find much sense in your post...
