I don't know if it's because of the fact that Policenauts is only in Japanese (for now), but I've come across a plot summary or anything for Policenauts........
Mankind makes first space colony. Policemen go to colony to work. Man has accident in spacesuit. Man found alive 25 years later in cold sleep. Man returns to earth and becomes private eye. Man's ex-wife visits man to ask for help looking for (missing) current husband. Man goes no GTFO you bitch and some shit happens. Man returns to same space colony to unravel shit. Good story and atmosphere follows.

Doesn't Wikipedia have a good synopsis of the main plotline already?

Of course it was! In fact, don't bother with the translation patch; halt all of the translation work for us all, including SD Snatcher and PC Engine Snatcher; this was enough for me.

If Osiris came down my chimney, I'd have a bloody banquet waiting for him and his reindeer, the food would be fit for a king!

Oh wait, I see what's happened here... You're reading the "elves" crack as a reference to Santa Claus and everything... I actually had the Keebler elves in my mind for some reason when I wrote that. Don't take it as some sort of hidden message.

But thanks for the food offers, that's very nice of you...and maybe a little scary.

"The Keebler slogan reads "Uncommonly Good," in conjunction with their claim that the products are made in magic ovens inside a hollow tree by chief elf Ernie Keebler and his Keebler Elves. The animated Keebler Elves have appeared in countless TV commercials throughout the years, shown baking their unique products."
Freakin' American!

Are we crossing the line? Eh? Ehhhhh?

I'm sure they will let us know when and if it gets finished, just be patient. They are doing this for free you know, its not like harping on Konami for having to push back the release of MGS4.

Unfortunately, the "last part" that the developer had to do on his own is taking more time to fully implement. Once that's done, the redone graphics, English end credits, and the beta testing will remain. I'm not sure if these other items can be done with the other programming hurdle still outstanding, but we'll know when Osiris has something to report. In the meantime, it's all patience.

I feel like I'm gonna 'splode, boss Edgecombe. Playing it makes me want it even more, my advice to y'alls is not even to attempt....
Edit: On a somewhat unrelated topic, I just realized that Karen's card in MGA says "Jonthan's ex-wife, and the daughter of Lorraine Hojo." Sloppy job, guys!

I understand. I've only played about 5 minutes worth of the game, and I feel that simply waiting for the patch is the best bet. As a huge fan of Snatcher, I feel it's definitely worth the wait.

Kojima's best will be ours soon enough.

I suppose I'll ask this here.

First playthrough, how long does it take to finish Policenauts?

I'm clocking in at 5:55, and I'm only at the beginning of Act 2. I wonder if that's normal.

If you read all the text and click on everything (which is really the best way to experience it), you're looking at 20+ hours. Then if you waste time at the shooting range...
