No, I wasn't speaking ill of it. I love the shooting range. I could spend hours there. There's a TON of secrets and hidden dialogue too.shidoni wrote:Mode 2, Level 2 isn't wasting your time though.Osiris wrote:Then if you waste time at the shooting range...
hmm... that's cool. Snatcher took about 8-10 hours on the first play through so it makes policenauts much longer game. I just can't wait it... i have watched the intro video and tried to play the game in the first room many times and i "accidentaly" once passed it and the cutscene beginOsiris wrote:If you read all the text and click on everything (which is really the best way to experience it), you're looking at 20+ hours. First playthrough, how long does it take to finish Policenauts?
Yeah, it's a good deal longer than Snatcher.Solidé wrote:hmm... that's cool. So...that makes how many hours exactly? Ha!Charlie Johnson wrote:It took me about 16 hours at my first playthrough and naturally, because it's japanese, I skipped all the text.
Imagine it this way, a quick run through Snatcher takes about 2 - 3 hours, but if you play it thoroughly it'll take around 12 - 13 hours.
By now I know what I have to do in Policenauts and a quick run takes about 10 - 12 hours for me. That's basically the equivalent of the 2 - 3 hours you'll need for Snatcher if you just click your way through the game as fast as you can. Now if you add up the 10 hours you'll need more if you play Snatcher the right way and keep in mind that Policenauts has a lot more text...
Yeah, it's pretty long.
I wanted you to use your imagination.Henry Spencer wrote: So...that makes how many hours exactly? Ha!
It's Akira Yamashita, a Japanese video game critic and friend of Kojima. He's one of the interviewees on the Pilot Disk too.seraphssavior wrote:Speaking of the shooting range, who's the last unlockable target? I have no idea who that guy is, and if it's actually Kojima, I'm going to feel like an idiot, though it didn't look like him.
All right, thanks a bunch, man.Osiris wrote:It's Akira Yamashita, a Japanese video game critic and friend of Kojima. Yeah, 8 hours isn't so long time to play through a game but considering the gameplay genre which Snatcher is, it kinda makes it much longer than example a FPS game that could take 8 hours to play through. This is because Snatcher is very cinematic game, lots of dialogue and cutscenes, but also the gameplay itself is somewhat like watching a movie... so Snatcher could be compared to movie which is 8 hours longThe Prince II wrote:Oh, that's good news. Snatcher only took me 8 hours, but I really loved the style of the gameplay and would have liked a bit more of it.
Thanks man, it took like over hour to make it.@ Solidé: Smooth sig, man~!
It'll be a reason along the same lines as The Snake Soup not being a reliable source for Metal Gear info.Henry Spencer wrote:Just noticed that on the Wikipedia page for Policenauts, someone has taken down the information about the translation.
Check out his contribs too. The guy seems to have a mini-career policing the site for content like that.Henry Spencer wrote:Just noticed that on the Wikipedia page for Policenauts, someone has taken down the information about the translation.
If every retarded thing people on the Internet do bothered me, I'd have slit my wrists years ago. Just one of those ubiquitous facts of life you have to live with. And it's not that the Internet attracts stupid people, it's that it puts you in direct connection with everyone, morons included.shidoni wrote:That sucks donkey balls.
