That's a big disappointment for me. I rarely get very excited about gaming at any other time than the run-up to E3 now. It was also an incredibly competitive event and will almost surely mean PR people will have a more relaxed time. Joystiq expect GDC to be gaming's biggest show now, but as a Kojima fan I'm a big supporter of TGS.

Damn, that was kind of a surprise. I remember when the CES used to be the big games industry show over 10 years ago. I guess an age has come to an end. But in the end, the industry will evolve and move on. To be honest, though, I'd rather have a serious conference a la GDC than some excuse for journalists to play even more games and get drunk for nearly a week.

Anyway, I wonder what this means for Kojima trailers?

Don't Konami do a show around Spring? I'm sure they will be shown there.

It's because they took away the booth babes.

At least E3 was around for 11 years. The E3 age has ended.

Oh well, there´s always TGS (WHICH THEY NEVER MAY CANCEL), still gonna miss E3 though.
