Thought you guys might be interested to know Kojima recently had Ico and Shadow of the Colussus creator Fumito Ueda on his radio show. When I get a chance to listen to it, I'll post any interesting comments.

From skimming the comments, it seems Ueda was also heavily influenced by and impressed with Snatcher.

I'm glad that Hideo Kojima seems to get along with all my favourite directors. :)

Did you listen to it in its entirety yet? If so, update us please! And how was the Ico book?

No, I need to download them. And you know when someone says that, it means they're on dial-up...

The book is great; still haven't finished it yet, though. I did do a translation of the first part of the first chapter. I was going to post it here soon.

One nice addition are the visions Ico has whenever he holds Yorda's hand. He looks into the past through Yorda's eyes, seeing the way the castle was many years ago.

Amazing. That would be a nice added effect if ever they remake Ico on a next gen console. Whenever you hold her hand, the castle reverts aesthetically to the way it used to be and perhaps have transluscent people that you can't interact with. I'm gonna replay it soon. By the beard of Odin, there are so many games to revisit.

I had hoped we'd get another, more comprehensive release of ICO here in the states, seeing as SOTC was recently rereleased as a "Greatest Hits" title. Heck, at least we could've gotten the original box artwork.

In any case, I'm anxiously awaiting Ueda's next game and a translation for this interview.
