This is a survey KP have put up to ask, "Which KP games would you like to see remade or get a sequel?"

Basically, every Kojima game every made is on there. They're going to announce the running total every day at TGS.

Question 1:
Which KP game would you like to see remade (or ported to another console)? (only one)

Question 2:
Which KP game would you like to see get a sequel? (only one)

Question 3:
Let us know about future new titles you'd like to see from KP. (tick as many as you want) [write-in entries also possible]

1) Which system(s) would you like to see us release games for?

2) Which genre(s) would you like to see us work on?

3) What sort of content would you like to see us work with? [e.g. science fiction, suspense, occult horror, monster, love story - most imaginable types are there]

4) What sort of collaborations would you like to see us do? [e.g. film, radio, TV, publishing, anime, music]

5) Are there any famous game designers you'd like to see KP work with?

If you want to submit an entry, I can do it on your behalf. Just PM it to me.

They also want your email address, sex, birthday, and nickname.

Guess what I answered for the most important questions?

I'd really like to see Kojima Productions do some kind of love story set inside a tongue-in-cheek, almost Danzig-era Misfits-esque occult horror kind of world. That could be interesting

Personally, I wouldn't want to see a sequel to either Snatcher or Policenauts. I think they both work best as one-off stories. The game industry is starting to become like Hollywood even more - too many sequels and remakes, but at least's Hollywood's Golden Age lasted longer.

I clicked the ZOE sequel.. even though, as I agree with Osiris completely, I feel that no sequels are needed, and in this case it was complete with Anubis... But in that specific case I'd love to see a ZOE in next gen...

I essentially asked for what I think they're going to do- A Kojima/Suda Snatcher sequel. I also mentioned that I'd like to see Survival Horror and Puzzle games. Kojima does fourth-wall breaking very well, and I think it work brilliantly in a Survival Horror game. Kojipro are a very creative team too, so I think they could make a very clever puzzle game.

I caught the results of the questions from photos taken at TGS (http://www.konami.jp/kojima_pro/japanes ... nt_01.html):

1) Which KP game would you like to see remade (or ported to another console)?

1. The Document of MGS2 (PS2) (32.7%)

2. Metal Gear (MSX2) (18.2%)

3. Metal Gear Solid: Integral (PS) (17.4%)

4. Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (MSX2) (5.5%)

5. Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes (GC) (5.2%)

Oooookaaaayyy.... That was kinda unexpected (except for the MSX versions). KP was surprised Document got top, too.

2) Which KP game would you like to see get a sequel?

1. MGS (55.2%)

2. ZOE (17.6%)

3. MG (10.0%)

4. The Document of MGS2 (5.2%)

5. Policenatus (No, I didn't misspell that. Nice going, Ryan! :/) (3.3%)

3) Which system(s) would you like to see us release games for?

1. PS3 (79.2%)

2. PS2 (62.7%)

3. PSP (37.3%)

4. PC (32.7%)

5. Wii (21.8%)

4) Which genre(s) would you like to see us work on?

1. Action adventure (67.5%)

2. Action (65.9%)

3. Action RPG (65.7%)

4. Adventure (32.7%)

5. FPS (27.3%)

5) What sort of content would you like to see us work with?

1. An everyday setting based on our world (55.7%)

2. Mecha/robots (47.3%)

3. Nonfiction (Kojima said he liked this idea) (42.7%)

4. Science fiction (36.4%)

5. Hardboiled story (32.7%)

6) What sort of collaborations would you like to see us do?

1. Films (65.6%)

2. Anime (55.7%)

3. Publishing (manga, novels) (46.9%)

4. TV (36.3%)

5. Music (28.2%)

I tried my best with the percentages, but I really had to squint to even get a good look at them.

Anyway, the shows will be broadcast over the next coming weeks. It appears Tecmo and KP are going to be doing some sort of big collaberation. Lunar Knights will also have animation scenes done by Studio 4 C. Doshin the Giant's Kazutoshi Iida made a surprise appearance on the radio.

Thanks for this data man.

*sigh*

It was just what I expected... which is to say, It is not what I hoped for. But that's what mainstream wants anyway, and the cost for the fame.

Yeah, I hear ya. What I don't get is people wanting remakes/ports of Document, Integral, and TTS. Huh? What a waste. First, what would one gain from going back to the Document of MGS2? Second, TTS is a remake of MGS1. Third, just buy Integral instead of "remaking" it. God damn, what a commercial response. The problem with that question, though, is that most of Kojima's titles either don't need a remake or are too new to be remade. I think we can all agree MG1 and 2 would be the most worthwhile and interesting if they were absolutely dead set on doing some remakes (which I hope they aren't).

What in lord's name? I'm sure I speak for everyone here when I say this, but where's Snatcher?

It's official - either the Japanese are stupid, or this survey was full of mainstream respondents.

To be fair, I think results would be similar in the West (except for Document of MGS2 and TTS being on there - I still can't get over that!).

Am I right in thinking that when they mention Document, they actually want a Document of MGS 1, 3 and 4. Because why the hell would they want a remake of Document of MGS2? It would HAVE to be the same material.

I've a feeling that some remarkably dedicated otaku have been voting several times. The type that were disapointed when Document didn't include video interviews with every member of staff, and fictional notes about the creation of Arsenal.

If they did mean that, why did they put it under the remake/port category as well as under the sequel category?

You know, I'd like a Document of MGS3.

True, but I just can't get it around my head why anyone would want Document ported or remade. It's jut pointless in my opinion.
