This is a real shame.. it is true I have been using lik-sang too little lately... but it was the very first online store I bought from back in 1999

Even though there are other paths, lik-sang and play-asia have alwaye been the first hand ones. I hope play-asia stays.. and that lik-sang reborns soon as another store.

This makes me want to kick Sony's metaphorical ass. Too bad taking them on in a militant fashion would be like attempting to overthrow the American government, which would be nigh impossible.

I may never buy a Sony product again because of this (or at least I won't buy in a way that profits them in any way). And people like to complain about EA...

I felt the same OtakupunkX, but as you say... not much can be done.

It's a shame, I'll agree, but as long as Play-Asia stays online I'm happy.

Why does anyone use Play-Asia anyway? Of the things you can buy there, you can get cheaper on Ebay (that´s where i brought my game OST), but that dosen´t mean they should close it!

Because it's reliable, and you can find rare stuff quite easly, like the full Simple 2000 series and Kumauta (a game about an alien polar bear enka singer).

Aye, it was a sad day when news of this broke out. Just like everybody else, it really does make me question Sony's sanity. Granted, they're a business trying to make money, but some of the stunts they've been pulling lately are just shocking. Europe, for example, has been getting screwed over by Sony for the past three or four years or so.

One thing's more certain after all this - Sony has lost even more loyalty.

Sony's denying responsibility. I think they're just trying to look like the good guy, though.

Sony Computer Entertainment wrote:Lik-Sang did not contest this case (i.e. they did not turn up and therefore incurred no legal costs). We have been awarded substantial costs against Lik-Sang which have not been paid," the statement claims.

We would therefore strongly deny that our actions have had anything to do with this website closing (we assume the legal entity is still trading), and would suggest that this release is sour grapes on behalf of Lik-Sang which is aimed to belittle Sony Computer Entertainment and the British judicial system that found against them.

Hmm, giant corp and British legal system against mail order company... Who to believe, who to believe...

I remember when Sony used to be so cool, circa the PlayStation launch. Enos... Now they've become total dicks.

So, apparently Sony sued Lik-Sang in 25 countries at once (at least that's what Kotaku said). No wonder they didn't show up.
