To try and make up for a Japanese exclusive release for the MGO PSPs, Konami are providing these for American fans-

Gameinformer says it's a bonus item which you can recieve now, if you pre-order MetalGear Solid: Portable Ops at shops like Gamestop and EB.

Hope Konami do the same with europe, because that case looks sweet! But considering how long they are at releasing games in Europe lately (MGS3: Subsistence) I doubt Konami will do it

I don't like the paint silver. It's on a lot of modern day tvs and such. The problem with it is that it rubs off and looks ugly. It will rub off more so on a PSP with your sweaty hands after hours of play.

It depends on how high profile the game is, in previous experience. Both ZOE2 and Subsistence took the best part of a year to come to Europe, but most MGS games only take a few months. Considering the surprising indifference from European press, I think Europeans will have to wait a while (or import from America, if they're quite excited).
The bonus is exclusive to certain stores, and not part of the game, either. I'll be surprised if it comes to Europe. I'll be even more surprised if we don't get a far better exclusive, though.

The American press is really indifferent to anything Kojima too. When they do mention stuff, they always mention hardcore fans like us though, which is something I find interesting.

I would´ent hold my breath for a far better exclusive. They chould have giving us Metal Gear Saga, but they think: it´s already out in the platinium edition of MGS3: Snaker Eater [which i have yet to see!], so why include it with Subsistence. Then probably some dumbass probably said: if the europeans must have extras, give them the 3rd disc as a standard.

Maybe that was Ryan.

Snake Eater Platinum was released in Germany. I don't think it's available anywhere else, though.
MGO is supposed to be a "proper" MetalGear game, though. Subsistence wasn't expected to sell in Europe.

n00b question: Has there been a release date for Metal Gear Saga 2 in America yet?

So far, they only confirmed, that they are going to make a Metal Gear Saga Vol. 2. But no release date, as well as it´s content, has been announced.
