PSP seems to be getting better again, now that it's nearly christmas (Lumines 2, GTa:VCS, Sonic Rivals, PSone Emulator, Killzone: Liberation, Sega Genesis Collection, Power Stone Collection, MGS:PO). Not that I'm complaining, but I'm having a hard enough time keeping up with the home console releases (RedOctane's PR guys sent me a free promo PAL Guitar Hero 2 today), so it's gonna take me a while to catch up.

You're not basing that on release dates from shopping websites, are you?

I wouldn't be shocked if it came out in September 2009 after what happened with Euro Subsistence.

I don't think they'll be able to make a dent on the European charts if they delay a regionless game for the best part of a year.

Let's hope it is a dud and sells terribly. Then Kojima Productions may re-do it for Wii.

How does that make sense? If a game is poorly recieved, that lowers its chances of coming back on a different console, as it's assumed that it won't sell in the future, either.

Isn't anyone a little disappointed as I am to see that during a six years timeframe the characters didn't change a little their looks? Ocelot, EVA... they didn't even bother to change outfit, which is kinda weird isn't it?

I suppose this will be explained somehow. Still, the footage screams more "60's" than "70's".

This game won´t get bad sales numbers, you can bet your ass on that!

I dunno, TTS was all hyped up and it flopped.

If a game of top quality and high-budget fails, the usual and smart thing to do is give it a second go on another platform. Especially if it is easy to port it to a new platform.

If it flopped, then why have i seen TTS on Player´s Choice? Only games that sells well, make it to Player´s Choice!

I believe it only sold a couple hundred thousand in comparison to the million+ that the MGS games usually sell in the US. I think they were hoping for something more toward that region. The numbers for Japan and Europe were even lower. The complete silence from both Kojima and Konami since then also make me wonder.

You mean, the fact, that they haven´t mentioned the game since it´s release right?

In the industry, quality is based on sales, not reviews or budgets. I'm sure just about every developer thinks that their latest game is high quality, but their opinion doesn't matter in a money-driven industry.
Besides, the PSP and the Wii aren't simular consoles. The Wii can play better looking games than the PSP, but that doesn't mean it would be easy to port a PSP game to the Wii.
