Another question concerning PC version (MGS2 this time)

I am aware that PC version of MGS2: Substance is known for its problems with various video cards. Interestingly, I have the same bug in graphics with two different cards in tanker portion. For some reason, the video isn't shown correctly on the wall during the speech of officer. These are the cards I have used with game:
Radeon 9200 (I hope I remember the number correctly):
With older drivers this required the patch from Konami. However, after updating the drivers to later version graphics seemed to work correctly with the exception of this bug without any patches. Bug itself occurs with or without any patches.
GeForce 7600 GS (currently in use):
This required unofficial patch to fix the graphics. However, I still get the bug in question.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game and I have tried (in case of Radeon) different versions of drivers. Yet this bug remains.
So, I was wondering if anybody else has this problem (or if someone doesn't have this problem). I wouldn't be surprised if it was due to flawed compatibility with DirectX 9.0 (both PC and XBox versions were made for DirectX 8.1, I presume) or cards that are too different from hardware used in XBox (7600 GS is apparently fairly new card from NVidia).
