I was inspired to do this video after I saw various other Konami tribute videos on youtube, and I tried to be original with this one, and not copy off any of the others I saw:

BTW:Yeah, I like Snake's Revenge. Sue me.

Nice video mate. TMNT and Animaniacs are great games. Snake's Revenge was okay as well, nothing grand really, but it's good for what it was. I also share your love for Sparkster as well. Great series, possibly my favourite 2D platforming games as well.

Awesome video man, that sure brought back a lot of memories  . Nightshade was a cool adventure game back on the NES, don't think i ever beat it though. Those TMNT games were classics (except for maybe the first one). Bayou billy was a kool game for using the lightgun but was a pretty hard game if i remember correctly. I also noticed you had cybernator for snes in that video. I remember purchasing that game at the flea market back then, it was a pretty cool game.

Also, you forgot to add bayou billy to your games featured part of your video :P . http://www.consoleclassix.com/info_img/ ... nShot2.jpg

Heck yeahs! Nightshade kicks ass! I was obsessed with that game when I was little. I've beaten it a quite a bit in my later years. The first few times I beat it was with Game Genie, because I didn't know HOW THE HECK you were supposed to beat Sutekh at the end, but I figured it out, and now Sutekh is really easy for me to beat.
Those TMNT games were classics (except for maybe the first one).
Man, nobody EVER thought the first TMNT game sucked until the Angry Video Game Nerd reviewed it, and now ever since he reviewed it, everybody thinks it sucks. And everytime there's a game that alot of people like, when he reviews it and says it sucks, everybody else thinks it sucks soon afterwards. Same thing with Simon's Quest. Alot of people liked that game, but after he reviewed it and said it sucked, everyone agrees. Hypothetically, if he said that Metroid sucked, everyone would think it would suck too. What's going on?

lol. It was probably good to most people because of nostalgia purposes. The thing is i played the first tmnt AFTER i played tmnt 2 and 3. I played tmnt 1 years later, i think i got it for cheap years later and it was pretty obvious that it just wasn't nearly as good as the sequals. :)

I would like to play Nighshade again someday. I really sucked at fighting thats probably why i never beat it. I would need to use a game genie or something in order to get past that game.

Adding Snake's Revenge is completely acceptable. Leaving out MG2:SS is completely unforgivable.

I haven't played Lethal Enforcers in years, I used to love that game when I was a kid. Played the third one in an arcade recently (yes, they've made a new one). I quite surprised when I ended up enjoying it.

Interesting to see you included a few cartoon licences in your video. A lot of people forget how good some of them were in the late eighties/early nineties. Quackshot is one of the best 2D platformers I've ever played. Konami made several brilliant ones, themselves ("Tiny Toons Adventures: Buster's Hidden Treasure" is a personal favourite).

Yup, Tiny Toons was an amazing game both on the SNES and the Mega Drive (ditto for Sparkster). As for TMNT; the arcade games are my favourite beat em ups ever alongside a whole host of other Konami arcade beat em ups and some Capcom ones as well. Great games. The first one was simple fun, nothing wrong with it.

The Angry Nintendo Nerd always make me laugh though, such a funny fella. (Check out his analysis of the third TMNT film for example).

I agree Henry, James is a funny guy, and I saw that movie review of his. Funny stuff. I also like the reviews by Armake21.

This video was for NES and SNES titles, and even if I wanted to include MSX titles, I wouldn't know how, because I don't know of any MSX emulators that can make AVI files of gameplay.

I don't know if this counts, but here's a video I made of a NES/Famicom Konami RPG that really needs more exposure

I use a FRAPS-Type program that can detect ANY emulator, including MSX ones. This thing blows FRAPS out of the water.

I used FCE Ultra and snes9x to capture my clips.

If you want to start making videos of MSX games, watch this video showing a Neo Geo Pocket Color game recorded with "ZD Soft Game Recorder". The description and comments posted should help you out.

Hmm, that might be useful to capture footage on MAME for my Capcom Tribute, because the other three I tried were SHIT. *goes to check it out*

EDIT:Whenever I try to capture video, I always get an error message saying "Cannot capture video" or something, and "Please try another codec". What do I do????
