Hmm, now where have we seen this before... Oh yeah.
Coma is a 1978 film directed by Michael Crichton. Credit goes to Henry Spencer for this discovery.

it's not great--a hospital is putting its patients into comas so they can steal their organs to sell, and a defiant lady has to stop the man in charge of this.

Heh. I was wondering whether you were going to post this up or not. And I unfortunately missed the film on FilmFour tonight, so I'll just have to buy it instead.

I remember watching some of it when I was very young (maybe 3 or 4), but understandably, I can't really remember it.

I saw that movie, but didn't notice any similarity to Policenauts because that scene looks totally different in the Saturn version.

Yeah, it's only like this in the PC98. The area was redesigned for the console versions.

Oh really?
So there's film references different in each version, eh? Very well, I shall sniff 'em out.

Sorry for bumping this topic, but I had to point out that the film does have a few things in common with it after all! Especially parts from that Act 4: Organ! It's a good film and I recommend that you watch it to see where Kojima's inspiration came from.
