Gradius or Salamander?

Salamander is considered a sister series to Gradius, but I think I like Salamander a little more. I recently got "Salamander Deluxe Pack Plus" for Sega Saturn and "Salamander Portable" for PSP. Awesome collections.

Wow, never knew there was a Salamander/Life Force collection on Saturn.

Definately worth owning if you have a Action Replay 4 in 1 cart, or anything that lets you play imports on your Saturn.
Trivia that some people here might not know:The first Salamander game was released in the US as Life Force. Strangely enough, a year later, in 1987, Konami released an alternate version of the original Salamander arcade game in Japan called "Life Force", and it was pretty much the same thing, only the graphics were more organic looking, the music was different on some stages, and the announcer said more things. And it had a Gradius-style power-up system.

Never played Salamander, personally, but I am quite partial to a bit of Gradius.
