Psycho Mantis question

I understand that if you have save games from other Konami titles that Mantis can read them. I never owned any Konami PSOne titles prior to MGS, and I was wondering if he can read saves from Broken Helix or Project Overkill. They were made by Konami too, but they were made in America, that's why I'm wondering if he can detect those ones or not.

Check out the metal gear text dump to find out what he says of all the games it detects. Obviously you can figure out the list from there as well. The Japanese version recognized more games though.

Do you have a link to it?

MGS The Twin Snakes on the GC had a lot of good recognition of Nintendo titles BTW. It picked out Mario Sunshine right away on mine. Funny when that happened! I for get all the other games I had on my memory card at that time that Mantis called out.

I think he can call out Super Mario Sunshine, Super Smash Brothers Melee, The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker and Eternal Darkness.

He gave a shout-out to Castlevania and Suikoden when I played that part the first-time. Too bad I didn't kept the Vandal Hearts save file with me.
I wonder what he says when he reads Contra: Legacy of War?
"You liked Legacy of War? Don't you have any taste?"

What is it that is said when you have a save for Policenauts? I heard you get a special message of some kind. Is it true?

If you have a save file of both, Snatcher and Policenauts, in the Japanese version, you'll get to see Psycho Mantis relay a special thank you message from Hideo Kojima. I've never tried myself, since I only own the PC Engine Snatcher and Saturn Policenauts, but Osiris or Artemio might had.
I doubt it was kept in the English version and don't know if it will work in the "Integral" version Again, Osiris or Artemio might know..

Yeah, most likely not, since both games have not released in Europe or US.
Except Snatcher Sega cd of course but that's different story...

Pretty sure I've tried Integral with a Policenauts save on the card and nothing happened. I'd confirm this, but I'm with family for Christmas and I left my copy of Integral at home.

You need save data from both, Snatcher and Policenauts, to get Kojima's message.

Is it Kojima himself talking or just Mantis?
