I've just bought an Xbox

After nearly 8 years of owning a PS2, and 5 years of owning a GameCube, I've finally bought an Xbox. I've already got Halo 2, Doom 3, MGS2: Substance, Taito Legends 2, Steel Battalion and Steel Battalion: Line of Contact (though I'll need an XBox Live account if I ever plan to play the last one). I'm already thinking about getting Halo 1, Jet Set Radio Future, Crazy Taxi 3, Otogi and Street Fighter Anniversary Collection.
Besides those, are there any games I should be looking out for? I've got a lot of PS2 and GameCube versions of games that came out for the Xbox, so I'm only really looking to buy Xbox exclusives. I'm not much of a fan of most American games or FPS games (although, I do really like some of the better ones), so that limits my options.
Any recommendations?

Panzer Dragoon! And if you liked the first one, Toe jam & Earl. You could also consider Conker, if you never played the N64 one.

I'll look for Panzer Dragoon (I forgot they made one for the Xbox), and I'll give Conker a go since I enjoyed Donkey Kong 64 (another N64 3D platformer from Rare), but I've played a demo of Toejam & Earl 3 and wasn't very sure about it. I never really liked the Megadrive games, and I didn't see much to like in the Xbox sequel either. Thanks for the recommendations, though.

Yes I know, I was scratching to get the most (I had to consult my game DB). I don't think there is anything else there though.

I'd like to suggest Fable, despite it being a relatively short game.

Is there much point buying Dead or Alive Ultimate if I can get a copy of Dead or Alive 3 from a friend for next to nothing (or possibly even "nothing" since he shares a flat with me, now)?

Again, I my flatmate has a copy of this at his parents house. He's planning to take most of his collection here when he next visits them, since he can play them here, now.

I had to check the date on the posts to make sure this wasn't a revived thread, haha.
How come none of you suggested the obvious, most bestest game?
Shenmue II
Then again, you are in the UK, so you probably played it on dreamcast, but oh well.

I still want to find the time to finish the original. I don't want to spoil it by catching up with "Shenmue: The Movie". Even then, I'd prefer to pay much more for the Dreamcast version than buy the Xbox port. I'm a real sucker for original hardware.

The Dreamcast version is much better, IMO, anyhow. The Xbox version has this really ugly blur and the VA sucks, the DC version has better VA, since it's Japanese voiceover (Ren is hilarious) with English subtitles.
Xbox titles I'd recommend to you (that I would all give at the very least 7 out of 10):
Half Life 2
Max Payne
Max Payne 2
Knights Of The Old Republic
Ninja Gaiden Black
Beyond Good And Evil
Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon
Burnout Revenge
Dreamfall: The Longest Journey
Headhunter: Redemption (sequel to the Dreamcast titles, it's pretty good)
Hitman 2
Hitman: Contracts
Hitman: Blood Money
Jet Set Radio Future
Marvel vs Capcom 2
Mega Man Anniversary Collection (very rare though; it includes all of the original Mega Man titles)
Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath
Panzer Dragoon Orta
Otogi: Myth of Demons
Otogi 2: Immortal Warriors
OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast
Psychonauts
Red Dead Revolver
The Warriors
Timesplitters 2
Worms 3D
XIII

To follow the pattern of responding to every suggestion, I'm going to make a short comment beside each of Henry Spencer's recommendations.
Half Life 2 (Got on PC and PS3)
Max Payne (Not sure if it's aged very well)
Max Payne 2 (Maybe)
Knights Of The Old Republic (Flatmate's got it)
Ninja Gaiden Black (I'd rather get Sigma on PS3)
Beyond Good And Evil (Got on Gamecube)
Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon (Maybe)
Burnout Revenge (Got on PS2)
Dreamfall: The Longest Journey (Meh)
Headhunter: Redemption (Owned the original on PS2, which was outstandingly average. Don't think I'll bother)
Hitman 2 (Not interested)
Hitman: Contracts (See above)
Hitman: Blood Money (And above)
Jet Set Radio Future (Already planning to buy it)
Marvel vs Capcom 2 (Probably)
Mega Man Anniversary Collection (I'm probably better off completing my collection of NES Mega Man games)
Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath (I'm likely to buy this)
Panzer Dragoon Orta (Artemio already recommended it)
Otogi: Myth of Demons (Already planning to buy)
Otogi 2: Immortal Warriors (Maybe when I buy and finish the original)
OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast (I've been considering this)
Psychonauts (Got on PS2)
Red Dead Revolver (Not too sure about it)
The Warriors (Don't think I'd bother playing it very long)
Timesplitters 2 (Got on PS2 and Gamecube)
Worms 3D (Don't think I'll bother)
XIII (Got on PS2)
Basically, I've already considered most of those, and have reasons not to bother with most of them too.

Oh, trust me, Max Payne is timeless. It has a great storyline with lots of conspiracy and a wide variety of characters. I'd definitely recommend you try it out, since it's a great series. It's without a doubt the darkest storyline I've ever seen in a game. You'd have to play the first title before the second, to know what's going on in the storyline.

Sure, Henry. But the first one, though it's quite a dated game, is by far the best one. The references to the nordic mythologies were perfectly placed.

Well, if you're anal-retentive like me, you'll prefer DOA2 over DOA3, but... If you're not a previous fan of the series, it's not a big deal.
Has anyone said Fatal Frame yet? Also... if you've not any other version (though I doubt, but, eh), the port of Silent Hill 2 is excellent.

You'll want to stick with Black.
Sigma is interesting if you've never played either Ninja Gaiden title, but Black is still the best version in my opinion. Higher level of challenge, no Rachel, and less loading time.
My personal recommendation is Onimusha Genma. I wasn't too much into the original Onimusha on Playstation 2, but the new combat additions are very nice and actually improve the gameplay considerably. I got my copy for five bucks.

Do get Halo 1. It's much better than Halo 2.

I picked up a load of games from my parents' house and friends' collections recently:
Halo
Halo 2
Halo 2 Map Pack
MGS2: Substance
Taito Legends 2
Otogi
Street Fighter Anniversary Collection
SNK vs Capcom: SVC Chaos
Midway Arcade Treasures 2 (Just to laugh at Wizard of Wor and Pit Fighter)
Unfortunately, Shenmue 2 and Jet Set Radio Future weren't there (other friends were lending them) so I'll probably check eBay for those.
