So, i'm watching Metal Gear Saga Vol. 2 on Youtube and something is wierd. It claims, that Solid Snake completed the Zanzibar mission without known Big Boss was his father. Obviously it's made after the new script from the Subsistence translation, but if that is truely the case, when did Solid Snake get to know Big Boss was his father?

For the record, Big Boss never actually mentions he is Snake's father in the actual Metal Gear 2 game (not even in the re-releases, which contained a few revisions to the story). It was a plot twist that was only brought up in Metal Gear Solid.

Speaking of retcons, probably my least favorite is that Gray Fox is a bleach-white guy now since MPO. He's half-black in MG2 and MGS, right?

Gray Fox revealed he was half-Vietnamese, half-German-American in MG2.

Anyone else think they should have hired John Hurt to do the narration?
