The font you're looking for is called "Peignot". It's the one I use for the text logo in my Policenauts wallpaper. I don't have a TT though.

I am pretty sure its:
"Compacta SH Italic"
go to this:
http://www.fonts.com/font/elsner-flake/ ... -sh/italic
select "try it" on the menu and then type SNATCHER in all caps. bada-bing
it needs a bit kerning work done around the "T" but thats it.
unfortunately it isnt for free.

the kerning I mentioned is a bug in the preview site which I posted before. No kerning needing with the actual Font.
I assambled this myself with the aforementioned Compacta SH Italic.
I would say: "Thats it, case closed"

I layed it over the Original and it fits 100%.
the type was already around in the 80ies, its a pretty old german font, so I would bet all my money they used it, or recreated it perfectly.

Yep, they must have licensed it for use back then. It's certainly not just a coincidence, and I'm sure Konami would have had the money to buy the right to use it.
Fun fact: most of the fonts we use today have been in use for decades or even hundreds of years.
