Probably not the MGS3: Subsistence bonus disc. This is a new trademark filed by Konami. The general assumption is that it's an expanded version of MGS4, but the lack of a "4" makes me doubt this theory. Other speculate that it could be a new sequel, a remake of the MSX games, a port of MGS4 for the 360, or a spin-off.

I personally think it could be the name of the MGS film (since MGS3: Existence was essentially a MGS3 film). Anybody else got any ideas on what this could be?

I hope it's the movie because i don't really like the idea of new Metal Gear game titles.

Sounds like it's going to be Document of MGS4.

I think if they were making a Document of MGS4, they'd probably have waited for that to come out before releasing the Database. Then again, I've been wrong about this type of thing in the past.

Hopefully it's the movie. Although I wouldn't mind if it was for the expanded version of MGS4, which we all know will come out sooner or later.

By the way, who's directing the movie? I really hope that it's not Uwe Boll (or however his name's spelled), because he's screwed up a lot in the past.

In tradition to the Metal Gear franchise, KONAMI or KOJIMA productions always follow their titles with "expanded and/or improved" version of the original released game... Sons of Liberty with SUBSTANCE, Snake Eater with SUBSISTENCE and now GOTP with EXISTENCE. It definitely make sense. Though I could be "wroing"...

I don't care what it is, as long as it's not remakes...

I hope it is a game that we can play as Cyborg Ninja or Cyborg Raiden

It'll just be an extension of the online game (MGO). I really doubt that the usual add-on (VR Training/Extra Missions, Substance, Subsistence) is ready to begin development yet (I mean, they've barely finished MGS4, I thought they'd want a longer vacation?) :D

I think Snake Eater and Sons of Liberty both finished development (and were released in Europe) the same years as their extended versions were announced. I don't think it's out of the question that this could be a new version of MGS4.

In that case, well, I guess they don't like long breaks. God those guys at Kojima Productions like to keep busy, don't they? :)

Well, they're a company. They don't just stop because they released a product.

Truth. I'm just saying I didn't expect them to come back with another Metal Gear product this quick, came as a surprise. I'm expecting them to announce a couple of things at TGS. Hopefully Project 'S' will finally come into the limelight?

Well, I expect with MGS4, many members of staff who are in design and planning-related jobs became less relevant as time went on, so they were able to work on future MetalGear projects while programmers and QA testers became busier. With smaller companies, all members of staff might all be focused on the same project at the same time, but I think Kojima Productions have the ability to focus on several projects at the same time.

Yup, me too, it doesn't make sense that there's no "4" there though!

It could be to present it as the final chapter that Kojima will be directing. Kinda like Rocky 6 was called Rocky Balboa.

Good point, i'm hoping it's the expansion with VR & boss battle modes, that would be sooo sweet!!

No such thing! Every chapter is his "final" chapter until the next one. Heard that song too many times now!

Existence is likely to be some sort of a re-release. You may see an MGS4 expansion pack... though that would mean it'll be crap. I doubt that they will actually put anything of value into it. It could a new portable game... that means crap for sure. It could be a re-release of older games too.

Wait, isn't that what I just suggested?
