OK, we'll wait for your results then. It sounds interesting.

I use a Nokia E90.

A shitty SonyEricsson GSM handset (personal stuff) and an equally shitty Nokia GSM handset (work). I intend to replace them both with a smartphone eventually.

I also had that one, I loved it as well. And the 9210 before it too.

The N73 is great FOXHOUNDER, I got one for my girlfriend and some co-workers have it as well.

Used some of the screenshots from the PC98 version for my wallpaper. I touched them up a bit so it looks more like cels.

how did you do the 3rd one? it looks like Super eagle or 2xsal. I was searching on how to do this but ended up playing with some filters in photoshop. We should suggest another patch with updated graphics.

Whatever you do, please don't blur them. They look awful. My suggestion would be leaving the incredibly good graphics of the PC9821 intact.

All I did with the images is go into Photoshop Filter>Noise>Despeckle. Then Sharpen the image. Then I adjusted the Color Balance and Contrast to look like a animation cel.

Only if we determine the codec. We do have the data isolated, but since we don't know the codec we would need to figure it out and then write a directX reader to specifically read these or a program to convert between them and AVI, that of course if the codec is standard. Otherwise we would need to write a codec as well to do that. Since we have no need (so far) to do any of that, we've only worked on other chunks from the video files.

So in short, we only have the exact bytes that compromise the video and audio isolated.

If it were me, I would actually try to skip their codec and rip the video and audio losslessly using a capture program. (Fraps, Camtasia, etc.) Then I encode it however I like - screw their proprietary codec. It's from 1996, how good could it be anyways in terms of compression?
