MGS3 European release- Earlier than expected?

I don't know how many of you this will interest, but it's MGS3 news all the same.
KCEE have posted a press release on their website concerning their releases for the year. At the end of this they say "And there's also the matter of a certain Metal Gear Solid 3 due sooner than you might expect.". Rumor has it that there may be a Febuary 25th release for Europe.
This makes sense, as the PSP was going to released at the same time as the old release date (alongside the likely PAL release of MGA). All the same, i'm getting excited (note- this will be my first play of the game).

You could have done with getting one of those slide card and swap magic disc bad boy kits, to play MGS3 back in November.

I have one, but the releases have been so hectic over here recently (San Andreas, Metroid Prime 2, Mario vs Donkey Kong, Four Swords Adventures, Minish Cap) that I'm probably best off waiting for the European version. It'll have extras and Shinkawa boxart, so it's worth it, if you ask me.

Importing's usually an awkward procedure anyway, and i'd rather not piss around with discs and slidecards everytime I wanted to play MGS3.

It looks and sounds like a big operation everytime but it isnt, plus, the swap magic disc loads really fast, faster than Action Replay discs and things, plus, with playing the NTSC versions the games run alot faster. I will still get the UK edition of course, but i couldnt wait as i knew that the story would be spoilt, so learn it by playing it

Plus you already mentioned you have about 10 copies of MGS2, so owning the US and UK MGS3s shouldn't matter... anyway, it's up to you, but I'm glad I got to play MGS3 back in November.

*twiddles thumbs* I'll just wait for the PC port. Hopefully the lower-than-expected sales haven't killed that option.

There will most probably be one if there is a re-release similar to Substance and VR Missions

I'll probably get some special pack of the Japanese version, too. Something that lets me play in either Japanese or English when I want the choice. :D

That would be nice, but it hasn't been done yet. It is likely Japan will get an "international" version, they usually like to hear the American voices too, but they are English voices and Japanese text.
