Hmm... Kojim keeps dismissing the rumors, but this one seems pretty bold.

I had heard that a MGS film was going ahead, but i will say it again as i have before, the only person for snake is Kurt Russell, maybe Patrick Swayze or however you spell his name, though for some reason i always saw him as more of a liquid. I dunno, i had wrote a rough script for a MGS film, i dont know why i did, but i did, and its main character was a new one, with other characters from the MG series only making cameos, i think if they made a film it should kinda follow the style of the matrix game, it ties into the movies but with new people, so a MGS film ties in with the games, but is kinda new, i dunno, im confused, but i wrote the rough stroy down, if i find it i might post it, claim that it was the story leaked!

A MGS movie would be interesting, I would be excited to see an interpretation of the game, ONLY IF IT IS NOT DIRECTED BY A MAIN STREAM DIRECTOR!!!!

Kojima denied it in an interview with IGN, shortly after.

As I said in past post. Kinji Fukasatu if he were alive.

it's true that the movie "Escape from LA" inspired Kojima, right? If so, of course Kurt Russel would be the man for Snake because he already made this caracter in the movie - Snake Plissken

Kojima loved the Snake Pliskin character, and even copied his characteristics after he first saw the films. Kojima wanted a cool lead role for his new game, so he decided Pliskin would've been perfect. He couldn't directly take the character, so he designed a character with many simularities to Pliskin. This was Solid Snake.
They're quite simular, especially in the first two MetalGear games. With MGS, Snake became a bit less attached to the Escape from series. Kojima still pays homage to the films though, by having Snake be a fan of them (making his Navy SEALS name Iriquois Pliskin).
Russel isn't the real life Solid Snake or a definite choice, but he'd fit the role.

even Russel being very similar with some physical atributes of Solid, i think Russel cant do the things he used to do a few years ago. a younger an lighter actor would be a better choice. But i cant remember anyone at the moment. Does anybody have a suggestion?

I was hunting around for info on the MG film, and "Metal gear source" website has something about it too, a leaked script, but they say its fake. Looks interesting, though I dont actiually like the website.

Their reviews of MG on the C64 and Snakes revenge have to be some of the worst written crap I have ever read. :???:

Then you should read snake soups Snake's Revenge review. That's the definition of crap. Actually, it's beyond crap.

Read at your own risk:

Please do not remind me of thesnakesoup

I've been through most of the site, and have yet to find a single well written... piece of anything actually.

Its a clear reason of why some fan sites should not exist.

Most of his reviews, for any of the games, contain swearing, calling the readers idiots, and confusion as to what he is saying. Regular contradictions, hypocritical examination, a lack of understanding on the subject matter and some things that are so wrong I cant describe them. The worst thing you could do is insult or alienate your readership.

I have seen fan made websites that surpass proper journalism, but that site and metalgearsource is not one of them.
(conversely, junkerhq I think works incredinly well and is a lot more subtle in its approach, hence why I use the forums)

Seriously, what the hell is this TSS quote for:
The outdoors have lots of edible... things. Snake eats everything from snakes (as the title suggests), to 'shrooms, and from goats to vultures. The only things Snake can't eat are humans and dogs. I could say a racist joke here, but I won't.
I could, but I wont? :???:

Almost as bad as metalgearsource describing the C64 music.
I personally like C64 music, very synthy, but regardless, going to such great and ridiculous lengths isn't needed. At least not unless there was nothing else to say about the game. You have to have tact when writing highly negaitive reviews, and these sites lack it.

I dunno, perhaps most people find them funny and Im just being strange.

BACK ON TOPIC:

Has anyone else read the fake script on the MetalGearSource website?

EDIT:
Here is their story:
http://www.metalgearsource.com/grey/ind ... rom=&ucat=&

And here is the link to the script they were sent....
http://media.metalgearsource.com/script.zip

hmmm, I dunno, they say its probably fake, but I like it anyway..... :???:

Then again, many would call me nuts.

I agreed! Not only is it full of contradictions and poor research, it's kinda hypocritical to complain about John's capture in the game, when the original Metal Gear had a part where the player needed to be captured in order to save Grey Fox.
