I've never played Boktai but I love Kojima's other projects. Does Boktai have any of the weird elements to it that make a Kojima game cool?

I've only played Lunar Knights and it does feel like a Kojima game, however it lacks that Kojima-polish that his other games has. It was enjoyable for one playtrough.

I played Boktai I & II & Lunar Knights from beginning to End.
The weakest Part was Lunar Knight, I think.
Pretty straight forward, watered down Version of Boktai.
In the firt 2 Parts the Solar Sensor is really...unforgiving. You need Sunlight. Thank god you can put it on an ingame Bank for use later, like at night.
Otherwise these games are kinda quirky, and there are some moments where they are pretty kojima-esque. But as far as they more action oriented, you get less Story, which is a thing I strongly connect with kojimas works.
