Chris Brunner (FOX-HOUND) just sent in
a link with his pictures of today's signing at the UK. Kojima Hideo and Shinkawa Yoji were at a local HMV, and Chris got himself the Twin Snakes GC and the European Limited edition MGS1 package signed.

Hello. Thanks for putting a link to my photos and videos here. It was good to see so many Metal Gear fans all in one place today, and it was weird to see so many people as excited as I was. It was great meeting Kojima and Shinkawa, but it's a pity we only got to see them for a few seconds before being ushered along. A good day anyway.

Sounds like all the signings in the US and Europe were really busy. There was around 45 people at the signing I went to in Shibuya. In fact, the last 20 didn't show up until a few minutes before deadline, and before then, the Konami reps were saying to themselves, "Shippai shita ne..." which literally means "We've failed..." but sounds better as "Not a big turnout...". In the end, they got a few more, but it looked like they were expecting at least over a hundred people from all the stuff they were waiting to hand out.
Funny how it sold better in Japan and Europe, yet America had the biggest turnouts.

Probably more people trying to pimp signed stuff on eBay in the US and Europe.

To show you how much Kojima is loved in Japan, when the thing was over and he and Shinkawa were leaving, one guy moved towards them and said, "I-Ikanaide kudasai-!!" which means, "P-Please don't go-!!"

It might be because people usually don't are not cared for much in their native countries.
