Question regarding Snatcher CD-Romantic

I recently picked up a copy of Snatcher CD-Romantic (great condition, stickers + comic included), but something struck me as odd--

The game comes in a 2 Disc case, which seems unneccesary considering that there is only one CD inside. Is another disc meant to be included?

Thanks in advance.

No, there isn't. It is simply that those cases were not custom built, but already available. (I got the edition 3 times, so don't worry.. that's the way it is)

yeah, I just took mine out recently to agknowledge this too a bit, mine doesn't seem to have this double disk case issue as everyone else sees, odd, :???: maybe the production line was fitted random.

I always assumed the second disc tray was just an added placeholder for the Pilot Disc (much like the third disc tray in the PS Policenauts).

At least that's how I'm using it.

It could be anything - MGS VR Missions in the UK was released in a double disc case, even though it has just a single CD. That may have been to keep it congruous with MGS as that was double-CD cased.

I think that was the case with Special Missions, but I'm not sure about Policenauts.
Most of the PlayStation's early games came in double CD cases, originally (Tomb Raider and Firestorm: Thunderhawk II are two that I owned, I think the Jumping Flash series came in doubles, too), and some even came in Cardboard boxes (Mortal Kombat III), so I think there was just a little bit of shortage of the big cases (don't think they used them in the US). Since Policenauts came out in 1996, it may just be a case of them not being able to decide on a default case size.

The large badass boxes were released in the US as well, games like REsident Evil , MK3, and King's Feild sported those boxes. As for the double disc cases, Tobal No.1 and Contra: Legacy of Way are both like that, but instead of a holder for the cd, the playstation logo is in the middle of the circular plate...

And on the PSX Policenauts I always thought that PC paper cd thing was just an ad for it, not a holder place, I'll keep mine in its own case, thank you
