PC88/MSX Snatcher question.

Here's a thing (actually two things) that's been bothering for quite awhile since I've played the PC88 Snatcher. While I doubt most of you will know, I still would appreciate any help I can get.
During the encounter with Chin in Queen Hospital, when he mentions Madnar's name, the word kyôjin (狂人, lunatic or madman) appears in paranthesis when Madnar's name (highlighted in red) appears. What does this mean? Is Madnar a real word in some language that means madman (which sounds awfully close to Madnar). Or is it just associating the fact that Madnar is a mad scientist?
The other thing I have a question about? Does anyone knows what the hell does the Snatcher-Chief says in the end? All I know is that it's in Russian (or at least written in Russian)?

That's neat, I never really put enough time into my PC-8801 version than the msx2 version, (even though it had better music and less loading time probs

)
"kyojn" is a tense for out of control individual(mad person). Kyosha, which is pretty much the same and does mean "mad man" as well, in lamens terms to say too.(Don't wanna go into jap definition, half awake.) From what my jap med journal memoirs tell vaguely, it's a root word(surename) taken from a physician that performed odd sexual experiments on his patients back in what I believe was the late 1800s. The word as well strictly, is centered towards being "mad" with the "human body" in this core subject of medical study. (pretty simialer eh? Snatchers, bodys R DEE R R heheeh)
But yet again, kyojn's and Kyosha's tense of "madman" is usually just the mediocre terminology of someone just insane in the membrane.
Ironically, I see Madnar is a common french & Russian surename. I see it pop up alot in french journals as well as madran. But I don't really count it has to do with mad man than just someone's name

. But to go out on a limb, I agree and think Kojima is just being punny lol.
As for the Russian, I doubt it says junker lol, remember Kio Marv's false russian- Czech! No clue, I'm gonna email the snap to a friend later and see if he replies with an answer.
P.S. re-arrange the last 3 letters again and you get MADRAN!!! MAD RAN WORK FOR RA RI RU RE RO!!!!!!! WARRY PHUNNY!!!! Oh boy I need sleep...

Thanks for the info. While I already knew what the word meant, I really didn't know its etymology.
I never really seen Madnar used as a surname by a real person, or at least a Russian person. I'm thinking it could've easily been a made-up name by Kojima. I also never understood why the translators in the Sega CD Snatcher, felt the need to change the spelling of Madnar's name to Modnar. While I can see why the name Random is more fitting for Randam, I prefer Madnar overall.
Also, was Dr. Marv supposed to be speaking Czech at all? From what I remember in the game, he actually speaks two languages: Czech and Slovak, both which are languages spoken in the Czech Republic. I'm not a lnguistics expert, but is it possible he was speaking Slovak and not Czech in the original game?

Indeed lol, he wasn't supposed to. I believe it was Takamichi and Marat Fayzullin that noticed his character in key was supposed to be speaking what was to be broken russian, but it came out looking Czech and Slovak. Like, wtf!???

Somebody mentioned that Russian saying that the Benson Snatcher made over at a topic at GameFAQs that a native speaker of Russian made about how bad the Russian was in MGS3. He said that it ment "good bye" or "farewell".

Anyway, I've recently gotten acquinted with someone Russian, and remembered this thing. I showed this to her and she said it means "good luck", and is nothing like "goodbye".

I think it's awesome the way he says it in Russian to Gillian. You can hear it voiced in the PC-Engine version (it sounds a little different, though). It was removed from the Sega CD version, wasn't it?
Babelfish says it means "I desire to you ustsekha". Doesn't Takamichi know some Russian?
Re. Madnar, I think it's just a pun from the Mad part of his name. Unless it means "lunatic" in Russian or something.

Haha, you're right.

I guess Crowley must be right as well.

That would fit better to the Mega CD English translation.
