Indeed, the Ape Escape 3 game will contain a mini game similar to MGS 1 ...

You've got to love these IGN writers. 'Come full circle' indeed! Not much of a circle with only two points, is it? Yes, a circle only really has one point, but if you start at one point and then go back to it, all you've really got it is just a doubly thick line, not a circle, and not any other shape. And 'the circle is complete'? That is idiotic. What was it before, a half-completed circle? That doesn't make any sense at all. One thing happens, and suddenly you've got some sort of semi-circle on your hands? And one that doesn't have a base?! No, you don't, you've just got a dot, or a line of some sort, if any shape at all. Christ I hope whoever wrote this didn't get paid for it. I've stopped reading after the first paragraph. I can't go on. I'm sorry. Interesting news, though, from what I read of Snatcher's post, which I actually can read without getting infuriated. Why didn't they just put that? "The Ape Escape 3 game will contain a mini game similar to MGS 1" instead of attempting to write something which anyone would ever give any credit, ever. The rest of the paragraph was equally awkward. It just makes me angry, and sick, and bothered.
Although, as I said, interesting news. Thanks.

Essentially the facts are-
- A MetalGear style game will appear in Ape Esacpe 3, called MesaruGear Solid
- The game will contain MGS style posters of monkeys in bathing suits (probably not real ones, though, if that's what you're into)
- You play against an army of apes who have stolen a MetalGear and are planning to use the weapon if they aren't given 10 billion bananas within 72 hours.
- You play as Piposnake, an ape version of Solid Snake.
- CODEC contacts include Colonel Roy Campbell, Professor Hakase (Ape Escape series) and Solid Snake (even though that might just be for one short conversation)
- Piposnake starts the game with a Banana Pistol with a silencer.
- The game takes place in Fort Banana, where you will have to save hostages and find MetalGear.
- The game is released in Japan on the 14th of July.

I'd rather go without them. That website makes me sick.

I don't know, it's just all very poncey. Loads of time spent on design - too much, all the little graphics and fonts are overbearing - and not enough on content. Also, 'the unofficial site' is a ridiculous name. There are loads of unofficial MGS sites!

The man's right you know.
It's like that game, Rise of the Robots - everyone was amazed at how it looked, but when they played it they realised it was utter crap. That website does look great, there's no doubt, but it doesn't tell me anything I don't already know about MGS really, or anything that I would want to know. Also, most of it is still under construction, so the content really is lacking at the moment.
Also, the Gallery page doesn't seem to work properly, clicking "open in popup" on the images isn't working in Safari. It does in Firefox though.
Look at that. Don't get me wrong, as I'm sure that Rick and I are in the minority, but seeing that says to me that someone spent a long time making that image
just for this news story (which is especially annoying as the "top story" simply links out to other site's articles). Yeah it looks good, but I'd rather just pick up the news from Art's plain text news page or an RSS feed.

It's all a bit flash-heavy.
It also lists Snatcher and SD Snatcher as the same thing, while MetalGear Solid and The Twin Snakes are listed seperately.

And what makes all that worse is that the flash thing in the 'gallery' page isn't even original, it's some kind of stock flash set up, as I've seen it elsewhere.

I don't think it's that bad of a site. It has a relatively nice and active forum community.
But I preferred the site's appearance before its flash redesign. Also, they ripped off a few fanmade images from Walking-Tank.com in their gallery section, which seems a bit unprofessional for a fansite.
