Anybody have any negative comments about play-asia.com

I'm thinking of ordering from play-asia.com and would like to know if anyone here has ordered from there. Let me know if you had any good/bad experiences.

I've never had any problems with it.

I've never used it, though...

I use it once a couple of months average, and have had not a single trouble whatsoever. I've been using it for 2 1/2 years.

They are quite different stores. But for the type of content of cdjapan I highly recommend you amazon.co.jp, Snatcher2047- You can get the same, cheaper, faster and even with cheaper shipping.

Of course a little japanese might be needed, but believe me that with the japanese cdjapan descriptions and the amazon engine in english /the part that is in English) a friend of mine that reads just some Katakana has been a steady client. You can also help yourself witha parallel amazon.uk or amazon.com browser open to follow the steps.

Yeah, Snatcher's right. And as for Play-Asia, I've used them a number of times (including ordering the Twin Snakes Premium Pack) and have been very happy each time.

Do you all use some sort of payment system over the web, like Paypal, or do you mail in your orders? I'm just wondering how many of you have credit cards.

I use PayPal for Play-Asia, but for everything else I use my Visa card, which also funds the PayPal account anyway.

Thanks for the replies you guys. I definitely feel at ease ordering from there now. As for credit cards, I use a Visa Checkcard.

What kind of credit cards do you guys use? I figure I'll need to get one now if I ever hope of doing anything online. I tried registering on eBay today and was shocked to see that they now have to confirm your information with a credit card (I wish I hadn't gotten all my other accounts suspended now). So whatever you guys recommend for a guy with no income will be fine, since I don't know a damn thing about credit cards or checking accounts or that sort of thing.

If you can avoid it I wouldn't use credit cards on any normal purchases. I know too many people that have gotten in too much trouble with their credit cards. If you have a checking account just apply for a Visa Checkard at your bank. It works like a check but it's a credit card and you can use them in any instance you would a regular credit card. Instead of getting a monthly Visa bill at the end of the month, the money comes directly out of your checking account. Another good thing about using a checkcard is that you're using money that you already have instead of money you don't have that you're going to pay back later using a regular credit card. The only time i've used a regular credit card was when I was buying a house and needed to establish a credit history.

Or use a debit mastercard, works as a credit card and is used immediately as cash.
