And maaan is this game great or what! I've only played for a bit as I don't understand any Japanese, though.
Anyway, I'd like to know if there's a good walkthrough/guide for this game that helps out those that don't know Japanese? Or am I better off waiting for a translated release by the community(if that's likely)?

Thanks and seeyas

You'll need to look about for the walkthrough, but there is one on there I believe (or at least there is for the bomb section. Now I think of it though, you may be better off here - http://www.hexdidnt.clara.net/policenauts/

Or what? What do you find so great about it?

And how much did you pay for your Saturn? I bet whatever you paid, you got ripped. I could've sold you one much cheaper.

I remember when I picked up a Saturn, I got it with Virtua Cop 2 and the gun, Die Hard Trilogy, as well as a DreamCast with 5 games, three controllers, a keyboard and a memory card. It was about £30-40 if I remember rightly. eBay can be good to you sometimes.

Another great place to find Saturn's are vintage gaming stores. A while back, I'd managed to pick up a Saturn, One normal controller, Daytona USA, Nights Into Dreams (With 3d Controller) and all important cables for around $30 USD. I really wish I didn't get rid of that thing...

I bought a Saturn around a week ago, but it doesn't read CDs... looks like I'm going on eBay again, tonight.

I got a Saturn for $7, and a 3DO with SSF2X (plus Capcom controller), and the Policenauts Pilot Disk for $10.

I'm getting a few good games with the Saturn I just bough last night- Virtua Fighter, Virtua Fighter 2, Sega Rally, Daytona USA and... erm... Sega Sports? Oh well...
I get two lightguns, too. I'll use those Policenauts stickers all over one of them. I don't buy Kojima games because I want to collect them, I buy them because I want to play them.

Heh, looks like I'm going to have to dig out my Saturn while I'm off work. I want to get a proper black Stunner though, the blue virta cop gun is a little unsightly. At least a little more "futuristic" than playing Snatcher with the Justifier though =)

the feel of the game and how you use a cursor to select objects, the story itself and the opening i like also. i don't play very many of these types of adventure story games anyway.
and yeah i probably did pay too much for my saturn. anyway, looking for a model 2 later for chipping(don't wanna touch my special edition saturn  ). i can't find a cheap one around here...

You shouldn't had said that. Now you will be lectured by RWN about why you should use recycled paper instead.

Damn straight. Though I'm sure 87th is already very eco-friendly and doesn't need me to lecture him, right?

I'd say worse than wasting the paper is the fact that you didn't need a guide to begin with. I'm completely ignorant of the Japanese language, yet there was no real hardship for me playing the game. The only point when I needed a guide was for the bomb disposal. And yes, I did click randomly - a lot - but that just lengthened the play.

As I said before, I had no fun clicking randomly. I needed to make some sense out of what was happening. The walkthrough told me what articles were about, what people were telling me and told me why I was going to certain places.
Spoiler:
I had no idea why Johnathan was going to BEYOND COAST at first, for example.

I saw a complete Jap saturn when in Japan, for 500 Yen, thats about £2.50... no bullshit. And I saw other Saturns going cheap, the white one, a special AV saturn - all sorts.

The first time I went to Japan, I bought a neogeo CD, two joystick controllers, power and Av cords - all seperately from bargain bins, and with around 8 games (most Samurai Showdown and KOF) it came around £7 - good deals do exist (if you know where to look).

yeah, they are very cheap there, but on ebay they're too expensive, especially when you add the overpriced shipping charge. it's best to pick em up locally.
still enjoying this game and some shmups..

I've got the Saturn Limited Edition, and I'm still looking for a Saturn. I'm probably getting a European one (where I'm standing, it's too expensive to import a Japanese one. Shipping costs and customs are going to eat me alive. I've payed around $30 just for the customs inspection of the game itself), thus I'll have to make some changes to it.

Just buy a domestic saturn (your country's region) and an Action Replay 4in1.
