Is it realy worth it to pay for the magic engine? Will it be able to play Snatcher on it, or does it have a low compatabilty list?

I use Magic Engine.

It is a pretty good emulator, and the only one I've used for PC Engine. So that might not tell you what you need to know.

But Snatcher does work on it, and I haven't had any problems at all.

Somebody in Russia put their key file on a website, but good luck finding that.

Magic Engine has a pretty high compatability rating.

Just did the demo today, and it seemed to work fine... but after the initial intro it froze.

Any ideas Why???(Cd is fine)

The Magic Engine demo has a ridiculous time limit implemented in which the emulator freezes after five minutes. You can only bypass it if you use a save state before the time limit runs out. It's quite annoying.

I know that, but it froze with over a min left.

You know, if you're too stingy to pay for Magic Engine (like me, and plus, I hate the interface) try checking out an emulator called YAME. It's a Japanese multisystem emulator that runs in English, and runs PC-Engine HuCards and CDs perfectly. I remember it being a bit flaky when it came to loading savestates, but that's the only flaw I can name. It's for Windows only and has been discontinued for a while, but it works fine. Get it here:
