I really can't disagree. The story doesn't sound very good, does it? Non-Kojima-penned Metal Gear plots just don't feel right, do they? It's like they've been lifted from FanFiction.net and dressed up a bit.

The thing is, I already have the American release. It's likely I'll need the UK copy to actually be able to use the two-player.

You can´t select Link Battle?

I can, but usually, you have to own the same region of a game to play against each other. I live in the UK, so I doubt I'll get much of a chance to play against others, if I'm using the US version.

I'm not sure if anyone noticed this, but the European sites has additional character descriptions besides the one already featured in the Japanese and American sites (i.e: Viggo Hach, Elsie and Frances, ect.)

Yeah, that's a tad dodge. You know, this reminds me of that other non-Kojima Metal Gear game. I think it was 'Super C: Snake's Revenge' and it was released on NES. Kojima still doesn't accept it as part of the Metal Gear series to this day.

Wow. Not only if your info is half-inaccurate, you even managed to confuse two completely unrelated Konami games in one (Super C was the shortened NES title for Super Contra).
Kojima says he liked Snake's Revenge and that it served as his inspiration for Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. The reason why Snake's Revenge is not canonical has nothing to do with the quality of the game, but because MG2 pretty much overwrote SR's plot.

I haven't been bothered to buy the UK copy of MGA, yet, but I've seen it. The card book has a pink cover and has forewords from Hideo Kojima and Shinta Nojiri. The rest of the book is just simply pictures of all the cards allongside boxs to tick, incase you have the cards.

Well, it was written by Kojima, and although it isn't particularly brilliant, its level of tedium isn't even comparable with that of the 'stories' on FanFiction.net.

Then I'll keep it in mind never to go to that site.
