I noticed in the readme it says "then Alcohol 120% to create an ISO using the "Play Station" format".

I have a copy of policenauts in .ccd, .img, .sub files. I mounted it on a virtual drive using alcohol 120%. Then I use the image making wizard to make a copy of it in iso format.

I noticed you said creat iso using "Playstation" format. When I choose playstation. The only options I have for making an image under that format are .ccd or .mds

GOT IT WORKING
CHOOSE SAFEDISC FORMAT
that should work.

Right, I have a question for you guys, what is the recommended video plugin for the game (the patch works perfect for me); is it still the same one as before, or is there a new one out since the last FAQ that's better?

The FAQ is updated in the readme and site

I hate to be that guy, but how can you honestly build a patch this intensive and expect everybody who wants to play this amazing game in english to go out and pay $100 to $200 for a working disc set of the game? Unless you have approximately 10,000 copies in a warehouse somewhere and you're doling them out a few hundred per week, there's no reason to force that kind of limitation on this project.

I'm still going to find a way to play this. Great work, and thanks.

I love how a small group of people will spend nearly a decade working on something for zero compensation, and when they're done, people will complain about something that they have absolutely no control over whatsoever. So yeah, way to be that guy.

I said thanks. I only have that one complaint, because hey, I'm too poor to pay even $100 for a copy of the game (and ebay always gets into a bidding war over the good shit) so until someone uploads a patched iso, I'm unable to play. I personally would prefer to pay the junker staff for a download if they could host the pre-patched images, but that's not legally viable as a solution. Say, $20 for the game to cover the work they've put into it.

Wow if you're paying $100-$200 for Policenauts you're probably not looking for it in the right places.

Ebay has quite a few copies at "buy it now" for around $20. Hacker Alias, that's hardly $100.

When I load disc 2 on epsxe I am able to see the intro. I guess that means disc 2 is actually the same as disc 1 for me since they are both the same file sizes.

You might wanna make a correction in the readme.

Alcohol 120% cannot make ISO. It can mount ISO but it cannot create a ISO file.

We can't be blamed if you can't pay for the games you want to play. The patch is intended for the people that bought their copies expecting to be able to play them someday.

I've just finished the prologue after almost one and a half hours and so far it's been great. The hard work and effort you've been putting into this has really paid off and I can't thank you enough for it, so I won't.

Nah, I can't do that, you all deserve praise, thanks, and a day off. I'm going to spread the word throughout some german gaming communities while I'm at it and after that I'll continue playing Policenauts all night long thinking about you guys.

And tomorrow I'll regret not getting any sleep.

Oh, and I bought my copy of the game 2007 on Ebay for about $30. New and sealed. (It was the "Playstation the Best" budget re-release.)

I guess I'll have to pick up the PS1 version. I already own the SS collectors edition. But I guess thats the only surefire way to go.

Well, I've just bought my copy off of ebay, I always intended on doing so and never got around to it. It'll look good in my collection.

Looking forward to being able to play it.

Additional: I'd also like to mention that those of you who plan to purchase should probably do so soon before word of the patch spreads far and wide, because then the prices for the PSX version WILL skyrocket.

It's awesome on my PSP, except there's no mouse support, so my shooting isn't as good as it could be. Now Ed's ashamed to have known me after a round at the shooting range. Looks like I'll have to wait to take Meryl up on that offer.

This game is so awesome, and you guys did a phenomenal job with it.

So does it work with two eboots on PSP?

That would require a state where you can save, switch discs and then load the save with the second eboot.

I can't get the patch to work right. It will only patch the first disc and not the 2nd.
