I was wondering what would all of you think about a metal gear solid 2.5 meaning metal gear 2 but instead of playing Raiden you actully played out the part that snake (plisken) played throughout the plant inncident.

It feels a little too late for that, I think. Would have been great to have that in Substance.

Your 4-5 years late but it would be lovely to follow the story of MGS2 from Snake´s point of view which is all MGS fans wants

The kind of did that in substance with the Snake Tales. It didn't really go along with the official events but did give you a chance to play as snake during various missions on the Big Shell.

I would have liked to have seen the second half of the Big Shell, but I don't know if I'd like the final boss to be failing in a battle against Fortune. Much of Snake's story wouldn't work as a game. Then again, can anyone remember the MGSX fake screenshots? They looked kind of cool. (I think I might have them on my Laptop, but I'm a friend's house, now).

And what's the difference between Snake and Raiden ? Does he have any disadventages compared to Solid ? No, he does not have any. Their greatest difference is that Raiden does not have as many dumb fanboys as Solid, that's all.
oh and by the way. The Snake Tales also contain Raiden Tales, if you did not find them you're just not good enough.
Kojima had a reason for creating Raiden and making him the playable character for most of the time. (before you ask: no, his main reason was not to show Snake from a different perspective.)

I don't think he hated Raiden, moe that he wanted to see Snake's part of the game.

I don´t think anybody was happy with the Snake Tales it was just some mini storys that had nothing to do with Sons Of Liberty

And they reused the locations instead of creating some new ones.

And they dinínt make 1 new cutscene and it was familer to Sons Of Liberty only with Snake

And Meryl was incredibly lazily rendered! No new voice or anything!
In fact, as much as I enjoyed it, pretty much every aspect of Substance smacked of laziness. I hope they put a bit more effort into Subsistence and the two other -istences.

They reused the BigShell because the "I-dont-get-a-sh*t-but-mgs-rocks-sincene-says-so"-fanboys wanted to play Snake on the BigShell. Don't get me wrong, I really li-everyoke the ST's, not because you play Snake, but because they're fun to play in general.

The writing in the fifth Snake Tale -- sorry, forgot the name -- I thought was hilarious. In fact, it was funnier than most of the humor in the main game. I really couldn't stop laughing at all the parodies of Jack and Rose and MGS2's asinine plot, because it did it just right. It hit on everything I hated about MGS2 and it did it with finesse. Thanks to the translator as well for completely capturing the spirit of the writing.
