Trouble with images on the forum?

Does anyone else have trouble viewing the images posted on the forum?

I can no longer view photos or scans in topics. The ones contained in "image boxes".

I've tried firefox and IE, and am using a 56k dial-up modem.

Any idea what the problem is? Is it because the images are longer being hosted? (some of these topics are fairly old, like MG PC floppy disc photos I can no longer view)

I just checked, eben those you point and they are working alright. The only possibility I see is that the version of pho used (whcih I changed) has some problems iwth your configuration.. but that would be very weird. COuld you please detail what happens in your side??

Another possibility is that you are not sending the information of referrers...

Please keep me updated in the situation to solve it promptly

Off-site photos are ok, the problem exists for example on this topic:
viewtopic.php?p=2438#2438

Ninja Kurosai's image of his collection I can see.

But ((((([MG])))))'s two images I cannot see.

Lower down, instead of images, I get a little info box with the following:
mg2.JPG
Description:
Box Back
Filesize: 188.39 KB
Viewed: 33 Time(s)
But no image appears. There is only a large empty rectangle below the text I just quoted.

I am using FireFox, though haven't updated it in ages. I am also on a 56k dial up modem.

As I mentioned in the other post, it is almost 100% posible that your browser is not reporting the referrer page.

http://codex.wordpress.org/Enable_Sending_Referrers

Please check thse instructions t find out if that is the problem

I tried changing Firefox's settings, but it didn't work.

So I shut down Zone Alarms anti-virus/firewall, and that fixed it. Images loaded fine again. Unfortunately, I can't work out what it is about ZA that stops the images from loading.

I enabled ALL adds and cookies, and nothing changed, meaning it must be some other kind of setting that I can't figure out.

Still, atleast I know what's causing it now. An overzealous firewall.

I had the same thing with one of my regular forums, so I just got rid of the Firewall and installed a new one. Worked fine.

If it is the firewall it must be a setting about referals. If you find one, change it to use the default referal or to send none.. that should work fine.
