The good old days

Post by Marc »

I was going through the logs of the Snatcher Fan Club (my handle there was mike12_30) just for old times sake, when I found a post I made listing all the reasons Konami gave for not releasing the game.

-No fan interest.
-Kojima doesn't like the past ports of his other games.
-The smoking.
-The sexual themes.
-The violence.
-It won't sell.
-People don't like these types of games, they want to play The Grinch or Woody Woodpecker Racing instead.

(To this, SiberioS replied, "Basically, from these, I can conclude that KoA is run by
monkeys at typewriters. But like they say, every once in a while monkeys actually do something coherent and good."

Me: "Normal monkeys or helper monkeys?"

SiberioS: Normal monkeys...")

And now, with hindsight, we can add: Kojima doesn't want to do it.

Did I miss any? :P Was anyone else around "the scene" back then, by the way?

I guess we'll still having a bunch of new Metal Gears instead. That's what most of Kojima-fans around the world only think about.

Hey! You still don't have a Sega CD?
What are you waiting for, Nintendo to make one?

I'm not sure, now. I have heard a lot of people saying they want MG to end on MGS4, and I'd agree with them.
