Re: Flashback: The Quest for Identity
It's probably just some guy who's taken the game, made an iPhone port (which is terrible, by the way; Conrad handles like a boat in it) and decided to charge $2 for his efforts.
The game IS in the public domain.

Re: Jonathan's cigarette lighter.
Snake's brand of cigarette from the Metal Gear series and MGS 1 & 2 were Lucky Strike. Though they didn't really say they were to avoid copyright infringement, the logo on the pack in the inventory slots look much the same (the circular logo on the pack). For the record, Lucky Strike are pretty ...

Re: Flashback: The Quest for Identity
I found Flashback to have far better gameplay mechanics than Another World/Out Of This World (why the fuck can't you guys just stick with one title?!). I found Another World's controls to be a bit clunky, and the slight unresponsiveness started to piss me off after a while (especially at the beginni...

Re: Flashback: The Quest for Identity
The original polygon cinemas were far better. I prefer them only because I grew up with them, and having played most versions of Flashback, the other sound bites are awful and the music to go with them really doesn't suit the ambience. Plus, the pre-rendered cutscenes on the Mega/Sega CD version wer...

Flashback: The Quest for Identity
PLEASE, for the love of God, tell me you people played this back in the 'day. I think it's still one of the best platform adventure games to this very day. Today, we see all this shitty "retro-revival" crap flooding the market. If any 90's title deserves a retro-rehash, it's definitely th...

Jonathan's cigarette lighter.
I just Googled "Brady Oil Lighter" in Google and it came up with jack shit. As a Policenauts fan, and (unfortunately) a smoker, I've been hankering after the same model of lighter that Ingram has. I'm pretty sure it's an old Ronson lighter but I can't be sure. I've been trying to find one ...

Re: PSP Policenauts help
Just tried 2 different EBOOT converters, Prawn - they still refuse to run on my PSP past the logo. Apparently POPSloader has something to do with a lot of PSone games running on it. I've tried installing it time and time again, but when I access the recovery menu it still doesn't show up in the Plug...

How do I change the compression rate?
Do you mean change the compression rate when patching the ISO, or changing the rate when converting from ISO to EBOOT?

Re: Report issues here
I successfully patched the game & converted the ISO's to EBOOT.pbp files with Popstation GUI 300, but when I run the patched ISOs on my PSP, it just goes to a black screen after the Sony logo comes up (the orange diamond thing, not the PlayStation logo). It doesn't turn itself off because I can ...

Re: PSP Policenauts help
Yeah yeah, I got your custom EBOOT stuff, very well done; looks rather pro. I already am using PopstationGUI300, and it still produces the same result on my PSP, custom EBOOT crap or not. I should probably give people more information about what hardware I've got set up *PSP Slim 'n' Lite (PSP 2000)...

PSP Policenauts help
The patching process went very smoothly (once I figured out what the fuck I was doing), but when I try to run the patched EBOOT.PBP on my PSP it doesn't even play to the first Konami logo - just a dark screen. The unpatched version, however, plays fine. I don't know what's wrong with the patched ISO...

Re: • Predict the Official Release Date 4 Policenauts Patch •
I think the patch will either go one of a few ways: A - the patch gets released very soon and they fix this "one bug" that's been fucking with the whole thing for months now. B - the patch gets released within the next 12-24 months after all bugs have been fixed. C - the patch gets its nam...

I think with God-Hideo behind the wheel of this one, it can't go wrong. Even if it's 3D.

Get it. The sunlight thing works by holding your GBA up to the sun. You know how the old myth goes; vampires + sun = pwnage.robertwarnes91 wrote:I wondering wheather to buy Boktai 2 or not.

Also how the sunlight thing exactly work?

I said I was thinking about selling them, friend. Not definitely going to sell them. :P As for the Neo-Geo, I have to agree - I'd only seen them on eBay beforehand; and to see one in the flesh was a privilege. I'm SURE someone had bought it. The whole "brutal" death metal thing isn't really my idea of great music; but I just thought these guys were too hilarious to not mention. The lead singer of As I Lay Dying, Tim Lambesis started it with Destroy the Runner's frontman Chad Ackerman. It's the most hilarious, if not the only A...

Very cool. They hardly ever have that sort of thing in GameTraders. There's enough unsold Sega Saturn games and disused SNES Controllers to last a lifetime or three, though. Like, I tried searching in Eastland (you've probably heard of it or been there if you're a Victorian like me) GameTraders and ...
