Do you fancy telling those not in the know who and what Primus is, first of all? Shirley that'd be the sensible thing?

I don't think I'll bother, I could do without the irony trip to be perfectly honest. I'd consider renting it and watching it with a friend, but I dislike people, generally speaking, and sharing a huge mutual sensation of irony with so many people I don't like would be genuinely nauseating.

You can hardly say he *ruined* Alien! It's one or two minutes shorter, and you really, really have to pay attention to work out how it differs from the theatrical cut. Mostly individual shots, from what I remember! And of course he didn't ruin Blade Runner (I could do without 'Replicants don't have ...

Yup, you've got to love those epic endings. It's all very...well, there's probably some filmmaker or other whose work is comparable... It's a good forty minutes, though, isn't it? And you're hooked for the whole thing, first time through - certainly the sort of quality storytelling his recent stuff ...

I don't think it's ever been considered a classic by anybody other than yer average hardcore Kojima fan. I'm still something of a Hideo enthusiast although I've become increasingly disillusioned with his work recently, and I think MGS2 might have been the start of that. I do genuinely love the first...

Urgh. No it wasn't. The man's a beacon of knowledge and wisdom, and I'd like to hear a better suggestion as to who's going to answer this particular question. He's an outspoken Kojima fan and it's a perfectly reasonable assumption to say that he's big on Policenauts, and knows what he's talking about.

It's a long story, and I don't think we'll over know the whole truth unless someone comes out and makes it crystal clear for us.
Maybe Rick Moranis?

So what? Raiders of the Lost Ark had snakes in a pit, Under Siege had Steven Segal on a boat and a hooker in a cake. And Gary Busey in drag. I wouldn't go to see a movie just because it had snakes on a plane, there have been loads of action movies with a lot more than that.

From the look of the trailer the snakes look a bit rubbish. Do you think puppet snakes on strings would have worked? I'm leaning towards 'absolutely'.

A person's obviously not going to jump straight to 'art' after being fed those terms, but I don't see why all art would exclude that sort of stuff. I don't know how you could argue it's not art, it's a film. What are you saying, it's not arty?

It is, yes. Linehan and Mathews contributed to Brass Eye and The Day Today (although not to any huge extent I don't think) and wrote Big Train, a sketch show with the same sort of humour as Father Ted. There's a bit of a quality drop after the first series since Linehan left, and both series general...

I don't know if you're familiar with Lee & Herring's '90s work, Junker, but Stewart Lee's stand-up is excellent, particularly the fairly recent commercial release he got: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000 ... UTF8&s=dvd

Don't bother - there are a million better British comedies, and if you're not overly familiar with British comedy in general, Little Britain isn't the place to start. It's possible you'll like it, but it's not worth bothering with more than one episode since it's all incredibly samey. I'd check the ...

I think at some point after the first series Lucas and Walliams either realised that they could continue churning out the same sketches with the same punchlines and just got lazy, or they found themselves so desperate to maintain the massive fanbase they'd accumulated so far that they changed as lit...

Well, I'd never realised that there could be such a fine line between love and hate, given that that line comprises of some footage of a unicorn, an outtake from The Shining and the exclusion of such lines as "Replicants don't have scales."
