....this game didn't include either Solid Snake or a Metal Gear?? Hell, I did. But I'm perfectly fine with it.

You are right, though it is nor *comlpetely* true (just being **** retentive...)

Solid Snake is in the Ape Escape game =P
Rex is on the Papers snake sees at the lab, and Ray is on the Shelf.

True. I should've said this game doesn't directly involve Solid Snake or a Metal Gear (though I don't know if we should count the Ape Escape game, since it's not a part of the main game). As for the Metal Gear specs in Granin's office, I've been arguing this again and again with people. It just seems silly that Granin would have been the one who designed Metal Gear Rex, then sent it out to his friend in America (assumedly Otacon's father from the picture in his office). That goes against Otacon's reason for designing it (because he likes bipedal robots like the ones in anime). But Granin's own purpose was to evolve machines in the way that man evolved. I'd take it as it is if it never related back to the other games, but since Ocelot steals the plans at the end of the game, it does present a fairly sticky situation for what happens later on. But it's not like Kojima's ever given a damn about continuity issues.

Ocelot certainly likes to be very deep in conspiracy and such. I really am starting to believe he has CBD.

well, there are some theories, one of which says that after ocelot stole the plans and gave them to the US hal was caled in to work on a project of those specifications. in other words, granin thought it up, but otacon made Rex work.

heh, Metal Gear REX, heh, the king couldn't defeat the inferior clone, even with the superior in the cockpit...
