Interview with Kojima at IGN

An interesting Interview with Kojima san regarding Snake Eater is up at IGN, interesting details are mentioned, though it has some spoilers if you've not played the game.

So..... European Exstreme and other extras on the European version, great news!

Speaking as a non-European, it isn't really great news.

ReasonWhyNot wrote:No link?? You bastard!! Just kidding. Pretty interesting article. I see Kojima's playing off the whole movie thing, even though it's pretty much set for Ryuhei Kitamura to direct it. I just hope we get a Substance-type version of Snake Eater somewhere down the line. You damn Europeans don't deserve to hoard all those special features for yourself.
They probly will just get a featurette DVD like with SOL hahahahaahha.

Still a hell of a lot more than the US though =P

And our packaging of the game is superb (SOL I mean). We do deserve the extras - can YOU imagine waiting until March for MGS3, knowing it was out in the US in November? It must be killing some Europeans (well, I know for a fact that it is).

Plus we have to put up with the game at a slower speed. You can't imagine how slowly Snake crawls in MGS - I have to play the NTSC versions now. It's a nightmare.

Aren't most games there 60Hz compatible now, though? But I remember playing MGS in Scotland, and it is slooow compared to the "original".

Almost all GameCube games have a 60Hz option, and many XBox games have it now, too. Strangely enough, though, the option is still rare on many PS2 games, usually only being featured in fighting games and racing games (games that where speed has a big effect on the gameplay). I'd expect to see it in MGS3, though, due to KCEJ doing pretty much all they can for the European market.
