I would love to see a couple of great old games ported to the PSP (or insert your favorite handheld gaming unit here). Lord knows there are plenty of interactive fiction games for the PSP, in fact, SAMPAGITA [with character designs by everyone's favorite cyberpunk author/illustrator SHIROW MASAMUNE] was just re-released for the PSP. I seriously considered picking it up. I have the PS2 version, which I picked up in a bargain bin brand new. I still see it occasionally too.
Anyway, it's nice to dream...
Interactive Fiction (such as SNATCHER) on the PSP

You know, that's just given me a rather wonderful idea.
Why don't they get Ashley Wood to work on comics for Snatcher and Policenauts? Just like he did for the Metal Gear Solid series. I know it's one hell of a long shot but what do you think?

Please don't even mention such a thing... I believe not everyone liked the art there.

Heh, I'm rather fond of Ashley Wood's artwork. It's provides a gritty, harsh realism that seems appropriate to the series.Snatcher wrote:Please don't even mention such a thing... I believe not everyone liked the art there.
And Osiris, I agree with you on some of the writing, a lot of it was pretty cheesy stuff.

Why dont you just emulate it using scummvm on your ds. I tried on my psp but i cant downgrade without the right version of gta.OtakupunkX wrote:Day of the Tentacle DS. I'd have to change my pants if that came out.
But I would love some new games like snatcher, but id rather not have it on a portable system...I just dont like them.
You don't need to downgrade anymore actually, if you have 2.71 you can emulate 1.5 now, or any firmware, as long as you have the dump, but >_>Modnar wrote:Why dont you just emulate it using scummvm on your ds. I have yet to try out Scummvm for PSP, I've already played a bunch of the point and clickers on my PC already, so It'd just be taking up room.
And I wanted to comment on the art work of Ashley Wood...I think it's okay. Actually, it was very fitting for the MGS comic, however, I would have liked to see different art work for MGS2, seeing as MGS was more gritty and dirty, where as MGS2 seemed cleaner and straight-edged. I would have liked to see maybe a traditional comic style, like that of the alternate cover, #1 of MGS2 (like most Marvel comics, nice and clean)
