Were a third video cinema game to be released...
Do you think it's time Kojima ripped off die hard? I love that movie, and would probably be pretty good, though then he'd pull his racist crap...if the U.S. ever gets it, Japan will get an extra-special copy like a month later, because we got one extra scene or something...Maybe not. Maybe it should be fan created only. Maybe it'll never happen, but that's cool, too...stupid racist japan gaming companies

It's not Japan being racist, it's Western Publishers assuming there's no interest over here. Development teams will sell a game to anyone willing to release it abroad, as long as they get money for it. They're not so elitist to say "No, I don't want to release my game in a land where it will not be appreciated". That would be daft.

uh yeah, you're anger is being directed in the complete wrong direction
Besides, Working Designs was always trying to do Japanese-like extras; all it got them was low sales and fights with those Sony fuckheads.
And those stupid Square International releases are usually just the extra crap from the U.S. ver the first JP release didn't have.
I don't think "Americans" qualify as a race, regardless, if that's what you're saying.
Anyway, boo hoo, like every single Square game gets localized, there's hundreds of amazing games that were never translated at all. Much more worthy of complaint.

All right, I had no idea, I always thought it was the Japanese companies' fault...It made a bit of sense...So on another topic...would any of you want me to write out a script for a die-hard rip-off, kojima style? I'm not gonna ratperson it, and I do enjoy writing a lot, so tell me if you're interested...It probably won't go anywhere, but we sure could use something to pass the time, right?

Let's see...we need a rookie cop, corrupt police force, and the rookie cop's got an awesome partner that helped him get the job. The focus of the story should be a bit like policenauts, having a large company trafficking drugs, through restaurants in the food or something...It's still in basic plaaning stages in my mind, but I'll write out some ideas soon...You guys think that you'd like this?

well, not really based off of, but has a lot of similarities...like certain lines or aspects...Ingram wasn't suicidal (as far as I know), while Riggs was. We need enough homage's for humor, but not so much that legal issues rise. I'll have some more ideas tomorrow.

God, if I was Jonathan, I would've been. But it was Riggs' completely-out-of-placeness that Jonathan recieved...
I know where you're getting at, but there's a lot in Jonathan's and Ed's relationship that's taken directly from the Lethal Weapon series. I should do my homework lol... And that includes Tomiharu Kinoshita's style in designing.

O.K., bear with me...I'm gonna try to do this in a play stlye, such as...
Hans:You are just an american cowboy who has seen too many movies.
(John looks at the radio, and grins slightly)
John:Well then yippie-ki-yay, motherfucker!
Give me a bit to get some planning done, And I'll have the first few scenes up tonight, if you are all still intersted...So please give me some feedback before I start this. Thanks!

All right:
Main Character: Rookie cop, Name, Mitchell (Last name, undecided) Traits: Unstobbable sense of justice, Damn fine shot, has never killed anyone. Flaws: Hates fire, can't take a clear shot when a hostage is being held (Like when the villian is holding the hostage, and his face is easily hittable, he can't take the shot. Also a pervert, to fit in with the motifs of the other games...
Partner: Got Mitch his job, Mitch's partner. (name still undecided) Traits: Holds the record at the precinct shooting range, believes everyone has a right to live, and is not afraid to pull the trigger when necessary, Flaws: Undecided. Is shot and hospitalized halfway through the story.
Police Chief: Corrupt, but not in an extreme sense. Is being paid off by the Villian Corporation (I know, I'll get some names for everything later...) to stop the investigation. Traits: Still has a consciensce, Flaws: He is a very morally weak man.
Villian: Has two drug schemes set up, In the poor neighborhoods, he is distributing a new type of narcotic, Amplifies the users strength, agility, the downside is that it also creates an extreme addition of fear-causing hormones into the system, overpowering the target's fears. (Were Mitch to take it, he could not even go near a candle, due to the fire present.) Second drug scheme is adding methamphetamine into the food being served at restaurants around town, it is distributed through various spices sold by his company.
Villian's Son: Takes over the families business after his father is taken care of towards the end of the story, (killed or arrested, I've yet to decide...) His death is spectacular, but I'm not going to spoil it.
What do you guys think? Keep in mind, this is also just the bear essentials, there will be many other roles, and many other plot devices. Hope you like it!
