At the obvious address.Snake700 wrote:Ok. Where can i get BitTorrent?
http://www.bittorrent.com/download
But I don't think, that it's going to work, if the other torrent client has problems with downloading the file. I guess there just aren't enough seeders...well, it's worth a try.

Torrent is "give and take", you download something and at the same time, you're uploading the file for others, or to be more precise, you're seeding. That means other users have to share the needed files while you're trying to download them, otherwise it won't work so you can't really do something about that by yourself.Snake700 wrote:How do i fix these seeds problem?
But you could try to increase your upload speed a little bit or maybe you've disabled uploading, in that case the download takes much longer and you have to activate it, just look through the options.

That's right. And, of course there should be some guys seeding who have the complete file, meaning 100%, if there are 3-4 people seeding with 84%, you won't get the complete file and have to try it again some other time. Of course you can finish Bittorrent anytime and continue the download later.Snake700 wrote:So the more people who download the torrents, the better it get´s right?

That's mostly the case for files that are named "Anal XXX porn.rar", or something like that.Osiris wrote:There are also the tricksters who name a file one way, only it turns out to be something completely different. So that's you wasted an hour (or longer) downloading a 500MB file for nothing. That's why it's good to check the comments section for the torrent on torrent sites.
Do you want to tell us something? ??:

Snake700, have you tested your port?
If not go to option ---> speed guide and click 'test if port is forwarded properly.
If it isn't, then you have to somehow, somewhere to find out what is the right port to use in uTorrent.

I don't download many torrents since I don't have broadband, but I've seen it for games at other people's places. I remember being at my cousin's house when he was downloading Doom 3, then hearing a barrage of swearing come from his room when the download finally finished.Charlie Johnson wrote:That's mostly the case for files that are named "Anal XXX porn.rar", or something like that.Osiris wrote:There are also the tricksters who name a file one way, only it turns out to be something completely different. I haven't honestly looked above so I appologize if this had been mentioned before -but also be sure to open your TCP/UDP ports to any bit torrent program you use, in accordance with your router, or turn off any router/anti-virus firewalls if it is possible. Router/Anti-virus firewalls close your BT/P2P port, therefore cutting your chances off from connecting with many other peers supporting the seed pieces you need. So like you could be waiting for the file to complete but it either goes at 14 kbs/second (super slow) or not at all because your port has closed out that person from accepting that packet. This is a common, and annoying problem many have with their router in terms of P2P programs.
This website will help you with it, it'll supply you port numbers to use for BT
http://portforward.com/
But most commonly, you can find out the port number (so you can open it under your router's settings) through going under Bit Torrent's advanced settings, under the port settings. When you open a port like a P2P program, use the same starting number as the ending number, or add one digit to it so you won't endure tons of traffic, or disconnection every so couple of hours.
