Phantasmagoria...
Phantasmagoria...
I just started playing Phantasmagoria (I have both Phantasmagoria 1 and 2) and am kind of into it. I head about this for the longest time but never played it.
Has anyone else tried this Adventure Game (I know ppl here dig that genre it seems)?

I used to like it a lot but now I hate it with a passion! Click on something, watch an FMV
clip, rinse, repeat. Where the hell is the game?! If you want a good FMV adventure game try Gabriel Knight 2 or Under a Killing Moon. Just my opinion, though.

Yeah. I'm a long time GK and UACM fan, but I'd like to check out Burn Cycle.Henry Spencer wrote:different strokes for different folks, I guess.
Have you tried using DOSbox?Synthoid wrote:I've played Under A Killing Moon, unfortunately the game crashes for me at a certain point, leaving me unable to progress any farther.

Looks interesting, might check it out sometime. The next adventure game i'm thinking about playing it "Tex Murphy: The Pandora Directive". I must admit though, after playing The Longest Journey many other adventure games feel so average nowHenry Spencer wrote:Awesome adventure game. Yes, DOSBOX was the first thing I downloaded actually.ratperson665 wrote:Have you tried using DOSbox?

I'm still playing The Longest Journey. Been half a year since I got it going and I still have not finished it. I'm so fucking lazy... I just start new games and then go back and finish the ones I started playing before. LOL!jcgamer60 wrote:Looks interesting, might check it out sometime. I "getting" Burn Cycle as we speak. I have it for the CD-i but the emulator is shit and won't play that one ( I have yet to find a real CD-i for sale that is in good shape). So I found the DOS version and will enjoy that, when it completes. Shit, $35 USD down the tubes for that worthless CD-i emulator...
For Tex Murphy on XP- here is a pack that runs every Tex Murphy game on XP. You still need DOSbox as your front end tho.
Ah, Sourceforge...
http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/news.php?show_news=1
It was complied (the pack) by a gaming site and I put it here on rapidshare for those who need it. Its a clean RAR (no bad stuff)- so enjoy!

Have fun!
For those thinking of getting the (looks to be anyway) awesome game Burn Cycle...
