I'm having trouble getting the Sega-CD version to work

Post by WCarnation »

Yes, it is a .iso rom. Here are the contents of the folder it resides in:

I am using Gens v2.11, with SegaCD Model 2 BIOS v2.11x (1993)

The problem I am encountering is when I start the game I get the Sega logo, the copyright information and the Konami logo but then it asks me to choose either internal memory or the RAM cartridge for saving games, either selection makes the emulator close out without a message.

What could be the problem?

I'm not sure if we're supposed to help you with this as it may be condoning piracy, but I'm going to assume that you somehow copied the files from the original disk and made them into an ISO/MP3 yourself.

Try using the 1.10 or 1.00 BIOS, they seem to run nicer.

Also, When I arrive at the memory select thing, It crashes if I do anything than just hit select the moment it comes up without moving the cursor.

Also, make sure your virtual memory is set to the highest and is enabled.

Finally, make sure you aren't loading a save state before the SEGA logo passes.

If all else fails, update GENS, and make sure you're not using the GENS Kaillera.

::EDIT:: From the look of that picture, please ensure the ISO and Mp3's are all in the same folder, so that when you load the ISO in GENS, it loads everything with it.

Alright, i'll try the different Bios. What do you mean about the memory screen and pressing select though, you mean selecting the option before the screen comes up?

I have virtual memory enabled and it's at its highest. I think my GENS supports Kaillera, and you're saying thats a problem. I'll check into it.

And yes, the ISO and MP3s are all in the same folder.

I really wanna play this game!

Why don't you create a complete image (ISO+AUDIO in 1 file) with your burning program? If you don't know how do it, you can donwload the complete image from me. Just send me a PM.
