Kojima has nothing to do with Tokimemo (only with the Drama series), so what's your point?

87th is right Johnny, quit being awkward, I never once even pretended to be serious. :P <- obligatory tongue sticky outy smily to show the above sentence was in jest.

The gamecube Famicom disc was done probably because there is already a Famicom emulator for the cube, like the one in AC. They probably couldnt be bothered trying to set up an MSX emulator, so rushed the disc out.

Being serious for a moment, I definetly feel that the NES version should be included alongside the MSX version, with a short essay explaining the differences.

I say this to anyone new to the series, the two are geniunely different enough to warrant playing each through individually.

What about the liklihood of Policenauts for us Americans?? Any possibility that Konami will go through the trouble of translating and whatnot for an outdated game of which many petition creators have no idea what to expect from it?? Well, I guess I just answered my own question. But they could at least get the licenses to it, so there's always a possibility I suppose.

I'm going by what was said in the Twin Snakes Japanese site and that's more or less the explanation they gave. The article also mentions why the Famicom game is so different from the MSX one, but mostly it's just an attempt to justify the inclusion of the Famicom version over the MSX one.

Chances of them translating Policenauts, now? Well, I think it's very unlikely. I think the only way we'd see it happen is if Kojima decided to go back and do a new Snatcher or Policenauts game. If these were popular in the west, it might provoke a re-release of the originals.

I usually make a point of not commenting on discussions that are based around 'will Kojima re-release Policenauts in English?' as I find it a thoroughly boring topic, but I just have to say that Policenauts was given a re-release in Japan in 2003, with no look in of an English version. On top of that, if Tim Rogers' article is anything to go by, Kojima-san sounds like a man who wants to move on, and if I was him I wouldn't want to return to games I made more than 10 years ago. Admittedly, if Konami had the urge they could do Policenauts without Kojima, but when you factor in the office politics that probably exist at Roppongi Hills (like look at all the MGS3 merchandise. Konami do go out of their way to hype that shit up, and if I was a lower worker at Konami and I heard they were re-releasing another Kojima game, I'd mutiny) it just seems unlikely.

I'm not saying I don't have hope here, because if they do ever announce it, great, but until then I just don't think about it. Besides, I think I'd rather play a translated hack that fans made - Kojima gave the world these games, it really is up to us to play and enjoy them, or in this case, hack the shit out of em, translate em, code em up and play em. And enjoy them.

Personally, I think Kojima is kind of predictable when it comes to these types of issues. He usually thinks "I need to do something completely new", ponders on it for months, mentions ideas in interviews, makes even more off-the-wall ideas, finds out none are really too feasible, and then goes back to the obvious choices (like writing the plot for another MG or ZOE game).
