Well, I post for the fact that I too have very important non-April-Foolsy info...

I am officially a Petty Officer 3rd class Machinist Mate of the US Navy.

and...

the Policenaut's project is still not done?

*sigh*

I'll always be a Kojima-fan. I hope you guys figure this out soon.
I honestly do believe in you guys though.

Really?

Well, I just might make it a monthly trend instead of an "every day" trend.

Nice to know where Meryl's look came from. pretty cool.

My father was in the navy during WWII.

So was jefferson, for that matter. He was a decorated combat helicopter pilot, well known throughout the pacific theatre.

Marc wrote:The current status is that our programmer is still working on the last big hurdle of the project, which is making sure the in-game text all fits. The problem is that the English text files are larger than the original Japanese, taking up more memory than the original code allows for. So, he needs to find a way around this by using other areas of memory to display the text that doesn't fit in the original location. The nature of the work is such that one day there will be a breakthrough and everything will fall into place from there. He tries A and that doesn't work, so then he tries B. If B doesn't work, he tries C, and so on. But eventually, one method will work.
For the SNES game Seiken Densetsu 3 (Secret of Mana 2), it used some heavy compression stuff so when the romhackers tried to re-insert the new english text there was not enough room. I can't remember anymore what exactly they did to overcome it, but it was this guy, Neill Corlett, who figured it out. http://neillcorlett.com

Anyone remember how they overcame the problem? Didn't he figure out some way to actually expand the rom so it could hold more or something? It was a big deal at the time.

Well thankyou James_the_Stampede for considering my group of navy men cool.

I can say us nukes had a couple of laughs with you aviation guys.

Ever hear about the "glowstick in the water bottle" joke? Spill the water on some one and say "Sh!t You've been irradiated!"

It's funnier in play than in words.

Also... "The reactor is critical" is a good thing.

Subguys have their own specific games too.

I mean, 6 months (at most) underwater is gonna make you want to do crazy things.

But... the Navy is better. it's more serious, some "traditions" have been gotten rid of, and it's the safest military branch there is.

On another thing, if a marine tried to become a seal. On average (a proven fact), they would only last 2-3 weeks of training.

"Accelerate your life!" jlkdsajlkaj;lsdaf;jsadfkasjfasjfjasfas

Policenaut's is a fun game, I wish a translation was out. How long has it been? blah, blah, blah.

Neither, lol, he was a Naval Aviator. I think the story goes that he was living in France during the War, and somehow joined with the US Naval air force. He flew corsairs.

I'll mention it to our guy, but I don't know how much will be applicable between consoles.

That's cool man. My Grandfather was in the airforce during WWII. It's kind of sad though, because him and one other guy were the only ones left out of their division who survived all throughout WWII.

Oh, MetalGearAlex, thanks for what you're doing man. I'm behind you all the way (and so is my family and most of my friends).

Aw man... JimboKudo.

that's really intense (sad). but be glad he did survive.

Well thankyou for thanking me.

Our country may not be the most liked at the moment but it's still needs defending and support abroad.

I do it because it's action-packed manly goodness with some serious responsibility and experience. plus... I feel it's the right thing to do. even if our "enemies change with the times" (The Boss).

On another note:
Where's the Policenaut's patch?

They'll never release it. It's all fake!
They just photoshopped the screenshots and such. I always knew

How many times do we need to say this? We will post an update when there is progress. You guys don't have to keep asking every fortnight. It won't change anything.

Maybe we need to lock this topic until then...

Wow, that seemed kind of gay.

Marc, I know that everybody asks for progress reports all the time (definetly more than every fortnight), but please don't lock the topic. I find it a bit obnoxious that people keep asking. Everybody, just be patient, you've waited how long? and just because it's past the original release date you guys can't keep quiet. I know I probably don't understand the magnitude of the wait, since I'm fairly new to this forum, but cmon guys. In the words of Douglas Adams, "RELAX"
