They're quite rare if you ask me, they were sold by konamistyle before the release of MGS3, and this the only official Kerotan product associated to MGS (they are lots of variants of it, such as toothbrush haha). I think it will be a nice addition to the Ga-Ko clock
Kojima games owned: Metal Gear Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake Metal Gear Solid Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops + Metal Gear Acid Metal Gear Acid 2
I love that real Ga-Ko and Kerotan. I think that alarmclock looks a bit cheap with the Metal Gear Solid 4 print at the clock. Now it's a more hardcore collectors items since it doesnt say its MGS (right?). Like the caloriemate
Well it's an official Konamistyle MGS product, I don't know if it's written somewhere on the box, but I know for sure it was for promoting the release of MGS3 and only distributed in the konamistyle MGS section. It's a MGS3 set. I'll tell you that in three weeks I guess, once I receive them.
However, what's very interesting is that I possess a promotional version of this Ga-Ko Coin Bank, which features a variant window box where you can see Ga-KO AND Kerotan (the box is really cool). It's very weird, but it was given as a price to very few winners of a lottery by... SEGA. It was never for sale. And the date is 2000. Maybe a promotional Kerotan coin bank exists as well. I'll provide pics in a few hours. I guess that then Konami had the idea of re-making the exact same coin banks to make misc MGS3 items, because it was not sponsored by Konami originally but Sega (again, I find this totally weird... and awesome).
These coin banks are really big, but it's really for hardcore MGS3 fans like you say, since it's not related with Snake.
And then there are lots of Ga-KO and Kerotan variants that have nothing to do with MGS (like ga-ko and kerotan in space suit hahaha, legend).
Geez you seem to love cartoons as much as I do. Do you have the South Park DVD's or Family Guy? Simpsons is by far the greatest show ever, but South Park has some memorable moments as well.
