I was already opening a video of the intro to add the intro music to fit the mood... but you put it in already

It looks really amazing, the only thing that confuses me is the floating itself... Maybe it's because i'm used to the turbocycles in the original going straight lines only, but it appears as if the vehicles changing their height happens rather frequently, making the whole sceen look more chaotic instead of organized traffic. Hard to explain, but it felt more like watching fireflies instead of actual passenger transport. The amount of traffic itself is perfect, though, not too cluttered, and not too shallow either...
Are you planning on moving the camera around in the final release, or are you planning a fixed angle perspective just like the original shot?
I'm glad you like most of what you see so far!
In the final version the traffic will be more like "Blade Runner" or "The Fifth Element" as the best examples.
This was my first attempt at creating the traffic, and so everything is really shitty right now as far as flight speed, timing, flight paths and everything else involved.
If you pay close attention you may even catch the single car flying backwards lol! So don't take the tests too seriously as the final work yet.
You are the third person that commented on the traffic as being a bit weird though...
My brother actually was the first person to see it and point out the "firefly" like chaos to me, and of course I noticed hehehe!
As far as the cut-scenes go I'll be following the original shots closely, but experimenting with making them more cinematic without losing their original feel.
There's another video showing...ah hell I'll just post it since I'm on the subject...
It shows a quick look at the test "Take Off" sequence and also shows a look at the "Traffic Patterns".
It was a HUGE learning experience to build/produce these tests and took like 3-4 days of hardcore non-stop work to get these test results!
Anyways, enough of me rambling on...
Here's an exclusive look at some images of the fully rigged low-poly Gillian Test model
(The body is a re-texture skinned Crysis NPC, so no trenchcoat yet!), and the "Sky Traffic Test #4" Video for you guys!
ENJOY!
